The Boro Southampton spygate thing is mental

I had no idea this was a thing. Want to see the footage of him lol.

Just read about it -

ā€˜Middlesbrough train on the sprawling grounds of Rockliffe Hall in Hurworth-on-Tees, just outside Darlington.’

It just reminded me that I’ve not been to the old concrete quarter pipe in Hurworth for maybe two years? Need to pop over this summer. ’

Awful by United today, lucky to get the draw. One shot on target all game. With Liverpool drawing with Chelsea and space to breathe I thought Carrick might try something new and different but no.

Thanks for Champions League but please don’t give him the job (we know they will)!

Not heard that before :man_facepalming:

Woah, the late, late decision in the West Ham and Arsenal game. West Ham goal ruled out. Massive controversy in the title and relegation battle now.

Very difficult one. It probably is a foul, but for me VAR is so against the spirit of the game. Even if the goal was given, it takes away that moment of elation. Will be glad to be watching football without it next season.

It should be for the simpler decisions only cameras will capture like more blatant off the ball fouls people have completely got away with down the years.

Can’t really be challenging a keeper like that though.

Yeah but goalkeeper crowding has been going on all season with nothing given, Arsenal are some of the worst culprits for it, so seems harsh. I don’t want City to win the title, but seems iffy.

So the foul on the keeper was a foul but the foul on the player fouling the keeper wasn’t a foul

I just want spurs to go down and VAR is trying its hardest to stop that from happening :joy:

I mean….

Not sure what’s difficult about this.

Totally get the argument about constant wrestling but it’s all over the box on both sides and only relevant if it’s impending a player who is clearly in a position to control the ball.

I think it’s more ā€œwhen arsenal do the wrestling it’s fine but when it’s done to them its notā€ given some of the comments on the BBC feed etc

Anyway still want Arsenal to win the title

There’s an Arsenal receipt for everything.

Nearly 4 years to the day

I’m saying it’s difficult because upon the VAR review I think the correct call was made. However given the lack of consistency piled on top of the utter boredom that comes from VAR Id rather they fuck it off and keep it to on field refereeing, which in this case would be goal given and a huge moment of emotion for everyone (bad and good).

I moan about it all the time yet still find myself watching it, however top level football is so painful now with how clinical and over analysed it is. Genuinely mean it when I say I am looking forward to the championship because I’m at the point now with it where I barely celebrate a goal when I’m at a game (and we don’t score many so I should!). All because I’m awaiting ā€œthe checkā€.

You know that if they went back to the old way it would be unbridled chaos tho. Once it’s out the bottle it’s never going back in. It was the right decision in the end imo

Oh 100%. It will never go now, and I will still watch it, moan about it and spend all of next season praying my club get promoted back into a league that has it. Games gone.
