Gone Skateboarding?

Got a couple hours at a new park today, enjoyed it, got a last clip for the forum edit.

Then stopped at the local petrol station to grab a sarnie on the way home and as I walked across the forecourt some old codger reversed his car into me twice totally obvious despite the obvious audible noise + me hitting his rear window.

Was still trying to reverse by the time I walked round to the drivers window completely clueless to had just happened.

All ok I guess?

Yeah somehow, luckily I jumped out of shock the first time because it knocked me a couple feet and it was an old hefty 7 seater so could have easily ended up under it. Just shacken up a little.

Yesterday was cold enough my motivation to skate wavered at times. Nose running uncontrollably and dripping on my griptape, welcome to the winter.

Yeah but at the same time skating is also what helps you make it through the winter in better shape, with less colds.

Woke up at 4:50 for no reason, couldn’t fall sleep again, went to work, got back home, fed my gang, went skating, skated for two hours non-stop with 7 or 8 mates. I’m so stoked on the new design of my local park. Could skate there forever and not get bored. It’s just great.

Picked up a new set of wheels and did an hour at the local. Ankle still fucked so limited to shuvs, shit ollies and slides/reverts. Still fun enjoyable hacking about without pushing my luck.

Good for the soul as @franc says :+1:

Had another skate at greystone tonight. Sort of made a new trick on my last possible attempt as we were getting kicked out. Poorly.executed but rode away might submit to bun this anyway.

Nice, had an hour and a half tonight. Good times. Ankle not 100% but feeling loads better.

Skated today for the first time since hurting my Achilles in Sept. Good couple of hours - helped 4 people drop in for the first time ever and genuinely had a great time.

Yes skateboarding!

There was a skate jam at my local yesterday and I was one of the judges (loool). Good day, lots of fun and not too serious! :slightly_smiling_face:

Sneaky roll at the clements lane park in Essex yesterday which is lots of fun followed by a roll at the Vivarium mini ramp which fills me with Ideal shop ramp nostalgia. Also came away learning feeble grind fakies ‘point the front foot’. Stoked!

Think I’m going to skate an undercover spot tomorrow. Not skated in ages.

Went and skated until my ankle said ‘fuck you, man’. Which was about an hour and a half. Still nervous though.

Couple of hours, good night as usual crew were in and the Wolves lads were up again. Kinda kept in my own lane tonight just to continue to ease myself back in.

Two really good sessions with lovely people at my local park on Friday eve and tonight, skated well, did tricks I hadn’t done in a while, sweated loads, smiled loads. My serotonin levels are high right now. Super stoked on my current setup and shoes too, it’s all in the Goldilocks zone right now. Sometimes I feel so sorry for all those people that don’t have skateboarding in their lives.
