Gone Skateboarding?

Bloody hope so :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Out tomorrow night. The hardest part is 45 minutes warming up and keeping the energy up afterwards. As soon as I start chatting to someone and cool off, thats it for the night.

Been out this evening. Dangerously close to getting a k grind groove in my truck.

Another session at Selfridges. More 7-10-year-olds dropping in the deep end and basically putting everyone else to shame.

Great session tonight with the Midlands lads tonight. Probably being in the middle of the best sessions I could ask these days with great skaters who are such a good laugh to skate with. Love it.

I’m quite sore now :slightly_smiling_face:

So tired.

Haha, I didn’t get home until about 10:30. 4 missed calls about the pin on my son’s new Xbox. Knackered now but should be ok once I’ve worked up and moved about. Trying to get back out tonight but not sure it’ll go down too well :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Had a cracking night though, I think I spent most of it laughing.

Woken up. Shitty autocorrect.

Another couple of hours. My board is done, stress cracked to hell, it’s been a good one though - End July until end Dec. My last snapped after 4 weeks.

Can anyone recommend an ankle brace? I’ve not rolled it for a while but the fear is always there even without skating, all it takes is walking over a small pebble or an uneven paving slap as it’s so bloody weak.

What size shoe are you?

I’ve still got the McDavid ones recommended in here before. Barely used them as they are quite chunky and I’d of had to buy new football boots for them to fit in. Proper sturdy gear mind.

Size 8. That’s my only concern, support vs movement. My left foot too.

I recommended the macdavid, I’m a size 8 too and take a size Small. They’re absolutely bulletproof and last years. Stick it on 15 mins before you skate to give it a chance to settle. The lace up ones don’t blow out or stretch like the elasticated supports.

Managed to skate for two hours yesterday and did it pretty decently considering how hungover I was. Glad I went to the park.

I’d go for the Aircast A60. They’re what Andy Murray wore at Wimbledon after repeated ankle surgeries. They’re designed for professional-level sport, they have a single Velcro strap rather than complicated lacing and they’re both supportive and lightweight.

I used a shitty wrap around one after rolling my ankle early February and then again November this year. Rested for 3 weeks, wore the support for maybe 2-3 weeks after then ditched it. I’m just exercising it when I can, but really need to maybe try the resistance bands for strength.
