Haven’t some bladers been riding it too? Means the coping will already have been waxed to buggery.
Went for a quick skate this afternoon windy as fuck, but ended up at the diy rained a bit but was dry enough. Got 3 little bits on the flat bank for my 50 for Fifty that I’m working on so pretty stoked.
My back feels good enough for a tentative skate tonight. Mildly, but not over, excited. Its been 12 days which (probably) means relearning everything.
Went out yesterday evening to Fender. Really nice vibe new people getting into skating pasing on the knowledge. Filmed a couple of bits to keep stacking clips, got an idea for a 50 ender, suprisingly not that far away not done one for 7 years and only 5 in my life all in the same session just gotta comit. Putting it here so I have to roll one.
Tried to go skateboarding and had a nap in the car instead.
Good roll last night and a couple of east anglican enigmas showed up. The Norwich Spex and forum favourite Franklin Stephens. Nice fella.
SESSION ON.
Took it easy, went well, back didn’t shatter on me. Out tomorrow. Legs felt good and strong though. Might be time to ollie over the traffic barrier again.
Did a few hours tonight. Landed my first ever frontside kickflip. I don’t try them much so I’m stoked about that. Felt alright so I reckon I’ll try a put a bit of effort into learning them ![]()
First clip of the year logged at Chinnor @Les_Zeppelin really fun park
Finally caved and went back to skating a bigger board again after putting way too much effort into 8.5s. Made the mistake of taking brand new wheels to a horribly slippy indoor park, but good to feel like there was something beneath my feet again. Heavy leg workout!
Deeside?
I skate slippy indoor parks a lot. I’ve tried all sorts of wheels and 93a Dragons beat them all for the combination of speed and grip on slick surfaces
Incorrect who needs grip
Love a bit of slip myself…..
Oh Christ air yeah
Quiet one tonight. Got a handful of 5050’s across the outledge and down the little hubba. Which is easy really, except the last time I did anything on a hubba I broke my collarbone. Over 13 years ago…I’ve been shit scared of them since ![]()
Fuck no. Doubt I’ll ever go back there. Waxed, slippy fishbowl creche.
Last two sets of wheels have been Dragons and they’re great, but have just a little bit too much traction on certain things. I’ve recently got my head around tailslides and you have to fight hard to get them going on the Dragons as they’re so grippy. Sadly it seems like there’s no sweet spot when it comes to greasy wood!
