Gone Skateboarding?

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It always had a wax problem (it was where I broke my collarbone incidentally). I vaguely remember the no wax signs in Welsh.

Dim Gwyro or something like that.

Ramp 1 or Worx?

I think those signs were in the old one! Haha, forgot about those. It was R1 last night. Looking forwards to this rain doing one so Newbird and Burrows will be options. Need to check out that park in Stafford too, that looks rad!

Out for a bit tonight, just hacking about, Chillin’. Good laugh and all fun and games until calf strained :man_facepalming:

Yeah, did go down that route, but ended up passing them on as I preferred the Dragons. Currently giving some Sabbath wheels a go, but yet to skate anything but wood. Hoping to be out on Friday if the weather is good!

Had a fun little skate at that park Les said the manny pad rail was shit haha.

Mini ramp thing is super fun. Lots of kids though

Twice, technically, today.

Set up a fresh deck for springtime and had a couple of hours rolling around my local then stopped for a little sesh on a kerb in the sticks on my way home.

More please.

Ah man, those are the best sessions. I sometimes think about you when I skate a really dry curb on shitty asphalt deep in the sticks.

There’s something very liberating about skating the shittest spot in the world, far away from everything, on your own. It takes me back to the way I skated when I was a wee, about 30 or even 35 years ago. Proustian moments. I didn’t have access to anything decent to skate then but had to skate, I was obsessed by it. I never take myself too seriously when I’m skating but I do try to skate harder if I’m with some mates, like I want to have a good skate and go for it, but things happen more organically when I’m on my own deep in the countryside. Grateful for both kind of sessions though!

I went last night but ended up sat in the park office chatting with my mate instead. Actually skating tonight though :flexed_biceps::saluting_face:

Yer scratch that’s Mrs was livid

I went to the opening jam at the new indoor park in derby yesterday. Was a good little event and saw lots of the locals I should make more of an effort to see in person more regularly.
Tried to skate a bit but my back and knee have turned into glass again.

Is it good? Looks alright, the death trenches look gnarly though haha.

I’ll let you know when Si and myself head over.

Not been to Rollersnakes for ages either…

will have to find out when the quiet times are

That’s quite cool to know!

This one matches that description..

Tough skate at the local indoor mini the other night, but pushed through skidded a couple of horrible, horrible back tails. Would love to have those one day!

Even a sketchy back tail on a mini is impressive! I’ve taken so many slams trying to learn them and still haven’t managed to blag a roll away

Haha, the mini is literally 2.5ft high, so I can’t get too excited!
