The had a nice long bench and American sized picnic table dropped off there as well. Really chilled as they only announced it on Wednesday.
Turned up at the skatepark and it was inline night 
It was quite quiet so they did say hmm, you could probably skate and the inliners smoking outside were like go for it (they’re sound) but didn’t want to crash their night and would feel well weird. I feel weird enough on a normal night.
Drove to a new industrial estate spot and there were people working. Then to my old spot (the road) and the street lamps are out where my curb was. Wax long gone but it looks like some fresh wax would get it up and running again.
Could have had a better evening!!

Went out for an hour at the local tarmac carpark.
Did a few slappies (backside only - frontside appear to have left the building for now) and my kid made up a new trick on her scooter called ‘the ammonite’. Then I ate shit trying a 360 push it.

Had a skatepark session last night with some friends. Felt like the kind of session I’ve not had in a while. Lots of healthy comping, talking shit and general fun.
Riding a board with 215s makes all other boards feel weird and squirelly.

my 41 year old self had two skates this weekend. One at the very nice but busy Mile End impersonation park in my neck of the woods after the scooter kids had to go home and bath before dinner and FIFA and another at the fairly remote park that’s not the best, but was joined by two random late 40’s brothers with a bluetooth speaker and about 4 brazilians. All full of hello’s and goodbyes and was just super super pleasant. Blue ankles due to the cropdusting mechanism that’s apparently been implanted in my body over the last year or two but so fun and satisfying.

Went skating tonight, been a couple of weeks. Wasn’t skating too bad (like proper basics but whatever) so thought a 180 up onto the ledge and switch Ollie off would be fun. Slipped out on top of the ledge, on the way down planned to avoid doing my wrists and my right elbow and took it all on my left elbow which is now just swollen and tingling. Gotta pay to play.

Man I really miss the days you could turn up somewhere and bladders had waxed the ledge sooooo mad that anything slid for days. Scootererererers just aren’t the same
I actually skated today. Bought a setup on a whim about 2 years ago, instantly went arse over tit and broke a rib. Other that little skates in the living room I spent those two years kidding myself.
Cut to today and mini-Darth wants to take out her Penny style board, so I take the opportunity to bring my board and we head to a basketball court next to a skatepark. Just close enough to feel like i’m actually skating. Wobbled about for 30 minutes till the wee one cracked herself in the shin and we were done.
The two older guys who were skating gave me a boost though, they were out with their kids and nobody gave a shit what age they were - probably the real reason i’ve not skated in the last two years.
Aye, so talking shite now but just wanted to say it out loud
