that piece was such a stretch it was shameful, saying the land would be worth some ridiculous ammount of money if houses were built on it while at the same time saying that there were no plans to build anything on it, it couldnât get planning permission anyway and nobody had tried.

Oh for sure, but I think theyâll need to carry along a lot more people than that. With Corbyn there were just such huge swathes of the population who took no convincing, from day one they werenât interested in a word that he had to say and they wouldnât have voted for him no matter what. Older voters who voted for Blair and saw Corbyn as being just the Labour of the 70s and 80s all over again. Theyâre far more likely to at least give Starmer a chance.

Havenât paid much attention to Kier Starmer. Saw this this morning though, not sure how much truth there is to it
I did see something similar about what he could have done about Jimmy Saville too but as director, it was not his position to enforce any such prosecution.

a middle-left Labour is infinitely more electable and better for this country than a leftist Labour any day. Starmer has been a breath of fresh air. the media seems to be really struggling to make anything stick in terms of mudslinging at him
Seems like all the Tories have done since being elected is dig dirt and make up shit spin on opposition in order to stay in power, because they havenât done anything to warrant them staying in. Trouble is, the public are stupid enough to believe it all and do nothing about the current mess.

Not sure why that is even necessary given their majority.
Theyâve conjured up loads of money over this pandemic and to coin a phrase from the honey monster in charge, spaffed it up the wall.
The tories were shocking âWhat the NHS is under funded and people are going hungry?! This is an outrage, weâre the party to fix it, unlike labour!â And the public bought it. They are that stupid they forgot who was already in power causing it.

Edit - worth mentioning before people stress out, localised outbreaks can fuck the R number. Itâs not the be-all-and-end-all number that determines how fucked your country is. If Germanys track and trace is up to it, this surge could result in a localised lockdown that sorts it out. In this country 2.88 would probably kill us all
