The last bit didn’t need to be added to your statement and feelings about where the buck stops, strange you would feel the need too?

In brief, the Met told officers to break up the demo, citing Covid as the reason. This probably wasn’t a good idea, because it turns out that the risk was minimal. But Cressida Dick, who gave the orders, isn’t an old-school bigot. In many ways she is a progressive force in the police. That’s what my posts were saying.

When did this become about bigotry? Did I miss something? I thought it was about a young woman, just walking home and murdered by a police officer?

There have been posts saying the police behaved badly. I’m saying that their reaction was probably OTT but there was no malice or political agenda on the part of the leadership of the police - more likely a miscalculation.

This is so on brand for you.

It absolutely is. I’m a subscriber. I’ve written for them.

Yeah, the magazine were Cummings wife’s story was different to his about driving up to Barny Castle and proved he was lying. Makes sense, you’d write from them. Look at the articles I linked that show no heavy handed police involvement when we were in full lockdown! To how this one was handled as we are easing out of Lockdown ffs and rules are relaxing by the week! Kids are back at school, ect…

You have to think there is a reason they handled this one so badly, with a police officer being the killer. The rest of the country was fine to have them, not a hitch, it was just London and the Met.

Protests outside Scotland Yard and Parliament right now.

More for us?

Not a peep!
I had leftover Pfizer from my local OAP home back in December.

It nuts, already got a lot of anti-vac sentiment going on as it is.

I’m really surprised it seems to be worse in EU than over here, considering the amount of young and otherwise generally intelligent people I’ve spoken to who are opposed to getting vaccinated for nebulous and ill-defined reasons. The skepticism in France especially seems almost led by the state, which is wild.

Macron seems to have gone utterly nuts over this, it’s a new crazy statement every other week from him at the moment. I’m surprised as well.

Nothing new, the anti-vaccine thing in Europe and France especially apparently: Europe most vaccine-skeptic region in the world, survey says – POLITICO

Politicians are people too so maybe Macron just feels the same way.

Saw a poll where 49% of republican men wouldn’t get the vaccine and 9% of democratic men wouldn’t.

Is it a right wing thing or just an idiot thing?

Both, that venn diagram pretty much draws itself.

Its one circle more or less

Not so sure. I’m…well, you know where I stand in politics. But I jumped at the chance to be vaccinated. I think anti-vaccine sentiment is strong amongst people who buy into conspiracy theories, whatever their politics

Purely hypothetical and not what I believe but could it be a scenario where everyone knows we’re being cunted by our government and this vaccine is actually under developed? We’re just closed off and in the bubble to see that there is maybe a reason that people are staying away from it. Our Government can’t be trusted in any situation and other countries see it or they just want to make our lives harder because we are cunts and brexit.
I don’t think thats a possibility with media/info/internet being so open. We couldn’t become a North Korea situ, ever.

to be fair this vaxx has been approved in all the places that have also approved the other vaxx. everytime something happens and countries stop rolling out the AZ vaxx it turns out to be nothing. it really does seem like other governments are trying to fuck us over

Quite right. We must seem like a bunch of absolute arseholes to the entire world.
