For people interested in what happens when the Queen dies here’s a fairly comprehensive article from a few years ago detailing all the arrangements which are set to occur. It’s a really interesting (if lengthy) read. It’ll entail 10 days of mourning and things like satire will be taken off the air. I believe most non essential businesses are expected to close.

This is for when the Queen dies, not in reference to Phillip. I don’t expect they’ll extend nearly as many measures for Philip, but the Operation London Bridge (when the Queen passes), has been planned for the last 60 years. Have a read of the article linked above. It’s fascinating

Funny the line ‘people who won’t expect to cry will cry.’ I think that will be true. I’m not a royalist, I don’t give a shit about the monarchy or the family, but I do respect the Queen and I’ll probably be sad in a way when she goes.
She’s like the one constant connecting multiple generations, her death will be strange.

I also think the Queen is the soundest monarch we’re gonna have for a while. Once she’s gone it’s a load of proper wanky blokes for time, they won’t have the same charm as her and I feel like she’s a decent person regardless of some ignorance through her privilege.

aye I’ll defo be gutted when she passes. Especially as a lot of us have grown up without knowing anything else kinda thing? She’s always been there, looking up at us as all royal as she gets rolled up in a pub cubicle
