Craftsmanship, reliability, aesthetics.

You have a Rolex….

Very true which is why the grey market is so hot.

Big fan of snazzy watches as gifts, less so buying for yourself.

Yeah but ask yourself why you ‘need’ one

It’s beautiful but it’s not as convenient as a phone. I only wore it to floss. And I got 2 kids now and am too busy either cleaning up shit or being exhausted to sell the fucking thing

But it’s like, why have a nice car.

I love them, it’s Mick’s fault tbh.

So this makes you want it more?

Don’t pass it on. I know I’ve posted you awkward questions, own it.

No. But the demand is so high for a reason.

They’re decent investments even at £10k over the retail price.

I’d get a Hublot Big Bang if I had to buy myself a car-priced watch. Had a fake from Dubai that I liked a lot, but one of the screws in the bezel fell out and you can’t get those anywhere.

He literally earned his, though.

Quality gift, for sure.

You know Lego sets have some of the best most reliable returns? Mad I know.

I noticed that!

They hold their value!

Should become a used Lego salesman.

I will say tho, as an investment, my old man bought a Rolex sub mariner in the 70’s for a grand .

It’s now worth close to £30k

It just a fucking watch .

What if he’d used that as a deposit on a house though?

He was too busy partying in Switzerland for that.

I like watches but don’t think my income will ever stretch to a Rolex. Though tbh there’re not really to my tastes. If I was ever to spend over 1k on a watch, I’d go for a Junghans or a Nomos.

Neither of which come close in price to a Rolex

Like these too.

If I ever become wealthy I’d go for Jaeger Le Coultre - Master Ultra Thin Moon :ok_hand:

Yes.

I like the reverso tribute.

If you want a decent watch up to £1k can’t go wrong with a Hamilton.

My mate’s dealer had one, reason being it was an immediate emergency 10k for inforseen circumstances
