Time for a watch thread?
Maybe a mans stuff thread.
I could talk about watches for hours but not sure anyone else would be keen.
No wonder Slap think weāre all in our 60s
Do they? Stoked.
We just need a tiktok thread to balance it all out
Twenty thousand pound watches are second in the list of āI literally canāt think of anything else to spend my money onā.
Number one is of course personalised licence plates.
I had to set up ads on tiktok this week. Just being in it made me feel ooooold. And Snapchat. No idea how to report on them.
Me: Hey look you got 2 thousand āswipe upsā.
Client: Is that good?

When my girlfriend used to work in House of Fraser in the mid 00s, they would destroy any stock that had any cosmetic defects, like electronics with a scratch on the case or a snagged thread on a pair of jeans, etc. Main reason was to discourage staff from āaccidentallyā damaging stock in order to get a discount.
Agreed.
Source: Got one myself.
I bought a black Casio in Argos the other week for £12, it glows in the dark and you can go swimming with it.
One of my life goals is to get a calculator watch.
Make it happen today.
I used to have a calculator watch when I was about 9. Saved for ages for the one in the Argos catalogue, freaked out when we got there to buy it because it was so much money (like, 20 quid or something⦠But that was a LOT in my family at the time) and didnāt buy it. Saw one in a market stall later for about a fiver (prices may be inaccurate), bought that and it lasted for years.
There might be a moral there somewhere.
Hahaha, Iām guilty of the plate too. Only an Apple Watch and a Casio F-91 in my watch collection though
last time I had a watch was when Casio g-shocks were a thing.
had a girlfriend who was on Hugo levels of Rolex obsession.
I tried my best to be interested but nah.
Kinda always fancied one but could never justify it, until the new motor had āFMMā as part of the reg.
I like a good Skagen myself, a fair few people comment on mine when Iām wearing one of them. One day Iāll get one of those classic Omegaās but Iām in absolutely no hurry to get one.
Iām an Omega fan. Got a few - some bought, some inherited. The classics are slowly rising in value, but thatās not the point, I just like ānice thingsā.
Family are in the watch business. I havenāt had one since 1995.
They are still massively popular.
I wear my casio all the time.
