Fucking can . Religion is/was the biggest mass control for the uneducated , all in the favour of men . But in the last 100 years we are waking up from the fucking con. Unfortunately not in some places .

Yeah in some places. In those same places, though there’s tons of religious people who find those kinds of values just as abhorrent as we do. Such as many if not most of those involved in the protests, and those who fought against ISIS and other fuckwits. People are getting less religious as time goes by but are they getting better as well? I’m as much of an atheist as its possible to be but I’m not convinced, fucking far from it in fact that the mere absence of religion would bring about much change at all. Hateful twats will be hateful twats regardless.

this is the point of good education. the US education system is an abomination. regularly comes out really low in a lot of key fields. as a result their society is a shit show
our is heading in that direction because good teachers are constantly being pushed out of teaching. i know so so many teachers who have quit because the job has become ridiculous

hopefully a good education system takes the children of abhorrent religious parents and makes them into slightly less hateful pricks. repeat for generations and in theory you get a good society. it falls apart when religion is allowed to law making. someone mentioned earlier about American schools picking/choosing what they teach and excluding the theory of evolution

As much as I’ve been enjoying the total dumpster fire that is Elon-twitter, I feel shite for those who’ve lost their jobs and those who’ve had to agree to become “hardcore” because they don’t have the option of resignation. Those severance checks are going to bounce higher someone getting hit by a Tesla trying to park at 70mph.
As shite as twitter is it’s been the go to for getting information out quickly from those who’d have a hard time getting their voice heard via other means. I imagine mastadon or something with take it’s place who knows.
