I think they released a statement as to why they were doing this a little while ago, when some were complaining that the leftie-woke-loonies at the BBC weren’t calling Hamas terrorists directly. It’s all as part of their impartiality remit, and with them ostensibly being a political organisation.
Has anyone seen these fake news ads on things like hotmail etc?
Saw one last week proper clickbait saying Emma Willis said some controversial things on Graham Norton saying how she is rich without working, and it says she eventually alluded to how and the article links the source so everyone can try it. Obvious scam but how can that be allowed to get posted on a high profile source? One exactly the same saying Rod Stewart, same interview on Graham Norton.
Feels like normal folk are in a pincer movement to make us utterly poor and dependent.
Gambling, Price hikes, cost of living, inviting normal people to play at stocks and shares, aiming for cashless society etc etc… we’re destined for some dystopian world where we are rationed tokens and we have to settle for our lot.
Tinfoil hanging on the bedstead
Yeah had one that was an article by Robert Peston telling me that I should be earning thousands of pounds a week working from home.
They should probably turn the internet off at this point. We can’t have nice things and so it’s just not really working out.
Yep, time for another hiatus already methinks, ha.
I think you need to change your browser to a different home page.
It’s getting silly out there.
Yeah, Hotmail is garbage. I only use it for signing up to things.
I have two old email addresses and they are linked to stuff so I just kept them. I guess I could migrate but feels a ballache.
I actually made a zine and a larger art book over the past few years entirely based on clickbait images predominantly from Hotmail haha. Absolutely bizzare some of them. I’m totally fascinated by clickbait images and how they genuinely get paid clicks and run for profit with stuff that we know is fake, but even curiosity can get the better of us- especially the style of image is to staged like who’s making them? Who’s taking these photos. And quite a few of the larger more ‘trustworthy’ uk media sources have them adjacent to real news. Like what the fuck
haha, crazy. Yeah I’m bemused how things like this can slide.
I wonder where you stand if you get scammed and lose all your money and try and hold Outlook etc accountable as it was advertised on their legitmate site.
So they took the HS2 money meant to improve links to the north and spent it on the south, well London? Doesn’t sound like the tories at all?
That can’t be real???
I bet that’s somehow Sadiq Khans fault.
Make it blatant so people assume everything is above board and no reason to question… seems to be the tactic for a while now.
Wonder if we’ll see posh folk in high vis filling in potholes with pea shingle because they’ve won the contract.
It’s like applying the Take A Break/National Enquirer magazine principles to the online
No doubt there. But lets not let them off the hook so easily. There are people taking advantage of tax payers left right and centre, many people are profiting from every angle and that has always been the case, it’s just more a smash and grab now as you’re right, the quality of politician is so low that they can’t even contain their shadyness. It’s right on show. We’re essentially in a really long series of the Apprentice.
Nope, I agree, I made the joke that went further than the actual poster.
When I was 17 a mate of mine could do the whole ‘down a pint in 3 seconds’ thing and he did it with red wine. Savage.
We were young though, it was probably piss. Nice to do the whole ‘swirl it round and sniff it for a bit’ and make half a bottle last 2 nights these days.
My father in law if he’s going to drink a bottle he just pours it straight into a pint glass. He said there’s no point using a wine glass if you know you’re going to drink it all
A venn diagram of whatever wine he probably drinks and petrol would barely be two circles.
