That’s pretty piss poor planning on Sugars account, surely a great business man like him would be able to roll with the changes and plan in advance contingencies for such events?

no?? maybe he’s not as business minded as he’d have us believe…wanker

Election coming up

Same here, it’s no more complicated than having some great memories attached to watching films starring him. Seeing him in the Mandalorian was pretty great as well.

The Apple Vision Pro released in America today. I hadn’t looked into it before and after looking at it feel petrified. It’s like the beginning of some Black Mirror episode. Life feels fucked.

It is now success!!!

I didn’t know what it was until this thread which I think is probably good.
Just looked it up now.

" An array of advanced cameras and sensors work together to let you see the world clearly, understand your environment, and detect hand input ."

So basically, like glasses but you can also doomscroll instagram whilst driving?

Well dystopian, yeah?

It’s gonna be shit as well. Consumers are constantly being charged crazy money for beta tech because they make you feel like you need it to be complete and compete.
Nothing will ever be as good as you imagine it should be.

It’s interesting in the sense of it being a step toward a future where computing isn’t consigned to being black rectangles of various sizes.

Also improvements in things like this will trickle down to other aspects of personal technology.

But yeah, it’s not going to be a mainstream hit like a phone was. There will be a lot of insufferable hype about it and people thinking it’s an attempt at something mass market like a phone, but really in the current state, it’s got more in common with something like Apple’s stupidly expensive monitor than the phone.

Doesn’t stop me wanting one to be able to watch Robocop the size of my living room wall though, so maybe I’m chatting shit.

Watching the advert for it, some bits look cool. Not Ā£3k cool, but still it’d be nice to watch films on a virtual telly that can be as big or small as you want while changing the background from your front room to sitting wherever you want. If it can make it so I can watch Trilogy on a giant 10 foot floating telly while I’m sat on a virtual Cuban beach I’m up for that. Surely it won’t be long til they sell you a virtual seat in a real footy stadium so you can watch the game from home but like you’re on the touchline, or ringside for the Usyk fight or whatever.
All the office/worky stuff looks shit but the home entertainment bits look wicked.
