I work with people from this area and the reports about it starting because 5 kids were taken into care last night after a young child fell (or was thrown) from a window are true.

20 years ago I was working for a small telecoms firm installing WiFi points at all the tescos in Ireland, one particular branch outside Dublin had us there at a peak time, the assistant manager showed us the patch panel we’d be terminating all our cables to, it was a pretty dusty server from the late 80s, he closed the cabinet door and turned around only for a large bang to erupt from it. The main server that held stock levels and spoke to the epos on tills started smoking and 20 seconds later we had umpteen team leaders running up the stairs to tell us none of the tills were working. They had to shut the branch down and the assists manager tried to pass the buck on me and my boss (who tore them a new one). Luckily it was the same room where the safe was kept so there were 3 cameras showing exactly what happened. I’m glad it happened tbh because there’s nothing more fun being up a three tier ladder pulling cat6 cable along a tray with a granny trying to push your ladder out of the way so she can grab a bag of oven chips.
Meanwhile ‘50p Lee’ Anderson, the voice of calm and reason, says:

Democrats have finally done the right thing and this could work out well. Every blow that Trump has landed can be discarded with a new candidate who distances themselves from Biden’s less popular moves. Yet everything they have on Trump is still valid

I wish I knew more about Kamala Harris because a cursory poke around in my awareness of her doesn’t suggest that much hope of beating Trump.
Hopefully I’m misinformed.
She has been painted as someone that often vanishes and is nowhere to been seen. A bit of a political nonentity since taking on the roll of vice president.
