Wasn’t that what they were trying to do?

This, this and this.

I’m on a mobile and can’t be arsed to quote all the different accounts, so excuse me for being lazy:

Who’s justifying police brutality?

Sleipnir- ā€˜but didn’t the guy who got kicked out 3 police in hospital while resisting arrest?’

Mike- ā€˜fuck around and find out’
And ā€˜a scrote that had it coming’

Chopper- ā€˜policing must be so frustrating and demoralising and what happened at Manchester is the boiling point, policeman snaps
Police have a really hard job, especially with tory cuts’

Neddy- ā€˜he’s just seen his female colleagues get floored and was punched himself? Massive rush of blood to the head’

Yourself- ā€˜copper who lost it will probably be sacked. Two wankers should be imprisoned’

Yours and choppers quotes are less justifying but in the context of the rest of those grabs, still seem to side with the police using justified force. How can attempted murder ever be justified?
After getting tased he looks unresponsive, not able to move.

Don’t be naive:
I’m not. I’ve never heard of the lawyer before you posted him. He might well be a horrible person but I’m saying that’s neither here nor there.
Just because they hired a nasty person and may be nasty people themselves it doesn’t detract that the policeman is at fault.
how can people say ā€˜yeah it’s wrong, but they seemed like horrible people’.
They can be horrible people and the policeman should still be in a lot worse of a position than suspended.

Late edit: choppers is still pretty bad actually, I just felt guilty lumping him with the rest as he’s done his foot in and seems like a really nice bloke

Fair enough man, I’m not trying to have an argument. Yakoob has been all over the news for months and months - his involvement is very pertinent to the whole thing in my opinion, specifically in the sense of trial by TikTok.

Whatever - everybody is a Michael Fabricant.
Hope you’re doing well @Gconroy

Yeah fair enough. We’re all friends and it’s hard not to watch that video and feel something strongly about it, no matter which side of it you fall on.

Most of the comments i mentioned, if read on their own aren’t enough for me to get up in arms about, but collectively one after the other are enough to chip in

Full quote. Not justification - I said it isn’t excusable :man_shrugging:

I just fall the side of this shouldn’t have even happened. I’m just saying I can understand him losing it.

The whole thing is a shitshow, but as I said the kick and stomp is inexcusable. Apologies for seeming like I’m down with police brutality

Did they not start the violence, not the Police. This isn’t George Floyd level

You can’t say it’s inexcusable but also say he had it coming. You have to chose

One set of cnuts tried to cut the first video released to make the other cnuts look like they were the only cnuts involved and attacking innocent men and rile up public hate to start a witch hunt without all the evidence being represented which is a massive cunty thing to do. Knowing they’d punched out a female officer.

Did they? I don’t think anyone knows that yet.
We both watched a video that starts with a policeman approaching someone from behind and ramming their head into a wall.
If you start with that and end with a head stomp it seems pretty cut and dry that he isn’t fit to be a policeman

Ok. There’s not much point in this as you can’t see the other side of the argument.

He should be suspended and with a full investigation.

Where do you want him? In prison?

Obviously yes

Come on lads could have killed him with a stomp on the head like that, we don’t want the police dishing out capital punishment at will do we? I get the ā€˜two sides to every story’ angle but fucking hell I don’t approve of the police stomping skulls no matter how lairy people get.

Maybe less weatherspoons in airports.

Also police brutally bad.

Also Michael Fabricants bad

The reason for the arrest isn’t the point though.
It’s the fact that the policeman could have killed him. He chose to stamp on his head.

Yer okok I get it it’s too much.

I dunno just trying to see it from his side a bit.

It isn’t excusable, I’ll stand by that. But when you behave like the dude in blue towards armed police in an airport of all places bad things will happen. So the scrote/idiot did have something coming off the back of breaking a policewoman’s nose. A kick and stomp to the head it shouldn’t have been. Any other country it could have been a bullet, which is nuts.

All this would be far easier in a pub over a (non)alcoholic drink :+1:
