How many people would need to be involved in setting up a fake assassination attempt?
There would need to be a recruitment team to find the right candidate, willing and able to do the job. They probably would have had to approach dozens of disaffected weirdos and loners to find the right one, and none of them should be willing or able to talk about it afterwards. Then the actual shooter would have to be briefed to ensure he makes no mention of his recruitment anywhere, in case the police or media uncover it later. Then on the day there would need to be people to make sure he arrives in the right place at the right time and to set him up on the roof. There would need to be plants in the local police department to cope with any alerts from members of the public. There would also need to be at least one person on the podium with Trump, ready to nick his ear. Finally the Trump team would need to have one of the secret service’s snipers on their side and in the right place to kill the kid when the job is done. Dozens of people would need to be involved to make it work.

I actually think we might see more attempts on him and other figures if the realisation that they’ve been conned ever sets in. Not quite sure what would cause them to realise at this point as they can perform some insane mental gymnastics. There will have to be some sort of cult-like deprogramming. It’s so sad how broken some people are who believe all the bullshit they’ve been fed
You’re probably right, my whole theory is based on them have a modicum of sense and the ability to keep a secret, I always forget that anyone who gets pulled in to Trumps orbit within 6 months has about as much chance of keeping a secret as a colander has collecting rain water

If there’s any dodgy shit it was the security services looking the other way hoping he would get shot. He can’t be popular in some departments.

I was posted at HCR if you read his book he mentions a guy called Eddie who was there when I was. There was another sniper who in a later tour got shot in the neck and him and the medic involved both got MCs for their actions.

I wouldn’t think it’s possible, normally you’re aiming for the centre of the body as it’s a larger/easier target. Then the calibre of the round used wouldn’t just kiss his ear. If you think think about a rifle for shooting over long distance then it’ll be quite a sizeable round. Then there is other factors like if the rifle used was zeroed to the person. If you were on a range you’d look for the splash of the round and then you can adjust your point of aim, especially for things like wind etc. if you’re aiming centre and the splash is top left then you’re going to aim bottom right on your next shot for it to hit centre. Then when you shoot a bullet it doesn’t just disappear it has to go some where if it ricochets off some where. Then imagine you’re about to shoot Donald Trump your heart rate and breathing would be through the roof! You’d need to get that under control because they would affect the shot, you can’t just snatch the trigger.
