They’re all massively uninspiring brands that have very little to like about them, or any point of difference. Seems that’s not enough
RVCA make really nice shirts, I’ve got a few. Other than that, take it or leave it.
I’ve also had a few of their shirts, did the job but it left me with the same opinion on them really.
This whole thing is really weird. Imagine if she is innocent. Not sure what her defense was at the trial
Edit
Definitely sounds like there’s grounds for appeal. Implication i guess is the hospital is to blame and fitted her up
Struggling to get my head around that. I thought it was all meant to be very clear.
especially given that she wrote notes used as confession evidence that helped convict her - “i am evil” “i did this” etc.
As usual the Eye have been on it for some time.
Worth reading Phil Hammond’s pieces if you have the time:
Ive been reading a lot about this. It’s hard to form a solid conclusion about it, I know she’s been convicted but it’s felt like there’s been quite vocal, respected people from the start saying that things didn’t add up.
Don’t want to get too tin foil as it’s a horrendous thing that happened, but part of me thinks what’s more likely, that she’s Britain’s worst female serial killer, or she was an incompetent nurse who worked with incompetent doctors in an over stretched and underfunded failing hospital?
It’s impossible to say really, but proven beyond reasonable doubt is beginning to look like a bit of a stretch for sure.
the thing is they used her notes as a major convicting point. what argument is there against “i did it” “I am evil”. if that’s not “beyond reasonable doubt” then i don’t know what is.
she wasn’t coerced into writing those notes - it was suggested as part of therapy that she write down what she was going through and what she felt.
she also wrote things like “they’re out to get me” “it wasn’t me” “i’m being unfairly persecuted” sooooooooooo fuck knows
disclaimer - haven’t read that private eye report yet so don’t know the more recent stuff beyond a group of doctors saying they don’t think she did it
Im just starting to read this but apparently this article has been quite influential in the reassessment. From the New Yorker
The rest here
It’s a case I’ve actively avoided as much as humanly possible because it full on makes me feel ill.
This video is very good for explaining how stats in court cases can be used. It even goes over cases of nurses who were thought to have murdered their patients.
Fuck the news today. Just gets worse
apparently it’s upside down day* and China are being the moderates
*or 4 years
basically he’s just using “bagsy” rules now, mate at work thinks all the shit coming out of his mouth since he got back in is purely to deflect attention away from the Musk Minions stripping the economy to get his billionaire buddies their tax breaks that the US can’t afford without gutting the system
I’m struggling to see what his negotiations are going to do to his long term, friendliest trading partners. How can you trust anything he agrees to if you’re his neighbour he pulls out shit like that? Just can’t be trusted. Too chaotic. Domestic business and trade partners like stability and predictability, he is providing them with neither.
yeah someone on LBC was talking about this recently with all the tariff stuff. it’s really really really bad for the US and probably bad for all of us too. potentially even if the democrats manage to block what Musk is doing they’re going to need to strip out ALL of the treasury systems because of the code validity and safety issues caused by Musk’s interference
this 100% is why we (UK) desperately need to get back to EU. Keir is making slightly more positive comments finally on all this “brexit reset” stuff but it’s going to be slow whatever happens
the word to focus on is “if” - moves troops into Gaza, pretends that another attempt on his life takes place, invades Iran. If an attempt did succeed, he realises the power to start a war isn’t something he leaves in his will?
The markets love a bit of volatility though right? Especially with a bit of inside knowledge
