I just don’t get why he’s there. Whilst plenty of them also get right on my tits most 6 music DJs seem to either be artists themselves or at least have some level of knowledge of some scene or other that’s relevant. Unless I’m missing something he doesn’t seem to have any of that.
I’m presuming it was to attract the listeners aging out of radio 1. I actually don’t mind him, he’s grown on me since he started. The only annoying bit about his show for me is the increasing appearances of Beth Ditto.
Huw is good but doesn’t have as much music nerdery as Lamaq had. Deb Grant probably one of the best presenters they have currently, she should have her own show and drop Nathan Shepherd who seems to be learning on the job
