Yep! the most rollerblader coping I have ever seen. Scary as hell just doing axle stalls.
the modern day version of it is scooter parks. cambridgeshire/east anglia is filled with skateparks that are designed for scooter kids and are horrible to skate. there are almost zero skateable ledges or manual pads in any of the skate parks anywhere near my house. have to drive over an hour
Some new footage of that skatepark being built in Doncaster on Instagram today if anyone is interested
Found some more pics/vids from the guys building the park in Doncaster
Looking forward to this opening (and getting a vaccine so I can go)
Anyone on here work at an indoor park?
I maintain the ramps at St Albans when needed and know everyone who works there. Why’s that?
I run X-Site in Skegness along with a few others. We’re a registered charity and so have a trustee board that oversees everything and deals with the business side of things.
I genuinely dream of recreating a hybrid of Flatspot and Radlands circa 99’.
For the children, obviously.
Arranged a residential to take some kids up to Flo skatepark in Nottingham next month but just found out it’s closed down Any suggestions for where we might be able to get to instead? Can’t change locations as we’re going for some other stuff in that area as well. Anywhere in driving distance for the day?
The Asylum skatepark near Mansfield is drivable but the ramps are massive. Total BMX park.
Rollersnakes in Derby has the Crypt and a mini ramp (and some outdoor stuff if it is dry).
The House in Sheffield is just over an hour away (that is if traffic behaves).
The House in Sheff is about an hour from Notts
Deffo do this, although the Crypt is generally used as a storage room these days it seems.
