Injuries and treatment

I had similar experience last couple of times I tried to skate/kickbox properly. It sucked. I felt like I was a millimeter away from snapping something.

Anyone got advice for plantar fasciitis? Absolutely killing me at the moment, can’t walk. Got a physio Wednesday for it as it’s not got better so fingers crossed but any personal experience with walking etc be great.

on another note- been waiting nearly a year for a muscular skeletal appointment and finally for that booked for a couple weeks time. Been about 10 years now trying to get my back problems sorted.

I’m guessing you’ve tried the insoles already? They helped a bit when mine was fucked.

Also daily stretches calf raises etc, was using light massage gun across the sole of my foot and tennis ball rolling a lot as well.

As tbk said above, insoles! The Scholl ones work for me. I also have some strap-on foam squeezy arch supports. Can’t skate in them though, but that’s not a problem as skating doesn’t hurt my feet, but wearing skate shoes when I’m not skating does.

I also saw some exercises on insta (the algorithm knew I was suffering) and now I sit on the sofa and watch telly and pull the rug towards me with my toes.

No, but let me know if you resolve it. I’ve been struggling with it since end of last year. The two times I’ve tried to skate this year have been immediately derailed by it.

Wearing proper trainers and not converse/flat soles has helped a bit.

I’ve also got this sharp pain on the outside of my knee that flares up now and then as well, which I’m wondering if it’s connected in some way as my whole right side sort of feels tight.

This is in French but it should help you:

Helped me loads when I had pretty bad plantar fasciitis.

I’ve been wearing custom orthotic insoles for 6ish years now, for other problems, but it definitely helps for fasciitis too.

Thanks so much for all that advice all yas! I’m actually off for an xray tomorrow as doc said the pain is a weird one so might be bone spurs making the plantar fasciitis worse… fuck sake haha never ending innit

Bone spurs are weird. I have never been able to wear shoes and get heel blisters/sores really easily. Only realised that my heels weren’t normal when a physio outright said “wtf is going on with your heels?”

Last couple of days been getting a heelbruise sensation on the inside of my foot just sbove the heel. A google search says it’s tarsal tunnel syndrome- a pinched nerve in thr foot.

I’ve had it before and it usually passes by itself so I’m hoping it just goes by tomorrow

Wondering if there’s s way to loosen up my foot snd crack it somehow?

Hurts most when standing/walking which sucks becsuse I do a lot of that.
