This is insane to me. You can do way harder flip tricks. I did once find them fairly easy but I havent done one for about 7 years so who knows?

I’m in the ā€˜have never been able to tre flip’ bracket as well. Think I’ve managed to land under 10 in my life. I just don’t understand them. People make it look like they’re no effort but it takes all my might to flip them. Weird trick.

So much easier than nollie back heels which you can do easily (ish).
I might try to force myself to relearn them to make a spurious point lol

I don’t understand 360 flips, I mean fakie if I really tried I could do it - maximum effort

360 flips are definitely one of the best feeling tricks in my book.

I find them easier on boards with a shorter wheelbase.

This, I could do a Nollie back heel way easier than a 360 flip

Now we are getting deep

Haha! I’ve done them on loads of shaped boards that had a 14 wheelbase but struggle to do them on a popsicle with a 14.25 wheelbase.

What is harder?

I fucking love you @franc im coming to see you and your chickens next year, I still have the note you sent me next to my desk. Always when I’m down

Haha! Yes, please do.

I destroyed a quarter pipe at my local indoor park tonight. This doesn’t mean I did kickflip backside noseblunts on it, it means I took some tools and dismantled it in order to get rid of it. We’re building new stuff there soon, some really mellow quarter pipes on which you could learn new shit, hehe. :upside_down_face:

Can’t remember that note! Probably something I sent with some stickers…?

360flips are soooo easy when you unlock them, however you can quite easily lose the key. I have to put so much effort in nowadays and can take me many tries to even get a shit one. Doesn’t seem that long ago when it was just a casual trigger button and boom.

I rarely find time to skate now though, can go 6 months plus easy. So fucking sad.

I’m with @neddy and @sk8arrog8 - Backside nollie heels way easier than 360 flips.
Although it’s been about 8 years since I’ve done one of them, too.

Maybe I’ll become one of the 2mph flatground trolls at the indoor over winter and finally figure it all out.
Probably not.

Absolutely no way! that’s crazy!
I have done both 180 Nollie heels on the flat just to land them but never had them at all, land them for a weekend and then never really do them after that kinda thing. Could do them on banks way easier of course.

The tricks I got stuck on were switch flips and nollie flips.
Nollie flips were so hard to commit to but one night I figured them out and they were so perfect, popped, caught, clean. A revelation. Every go! Next day I tried them, exactly the same idea and nothing worked, tried everything. Never did them again.

Frontside Nollie Heels way easier on a bank. I scrape them out every now and then.
Only ever done backside ones on flat.

Done a few nollie flips here and there but have never, ever done a switch flip.
I did give it about 5 tries recently, though and seem to be able to flip them these days.

I think thats my problems, really - if I can’t do a trick in 5 tries, then I just try something else. Which leads to entire sessions of fuck all as I never really had much more than absolute basics which took me less than 5 tries.

I used to be pretty handy at games of skate but bs nollie heels and inward nollie heels is my Achilles heel. Could never work out what I was doing wrong. Maybe landed 2 in my life.

Exactly the same, best feeling for me is consistency so I do what I can well, all the time and any progress is natural progression on what I can do.
I’m talking past PAST tense though of course.
I remember when a mate had his first house and we built a mini in the garden and we were always trying stationary tricks in the dining room, I learned switch flips, badly and those evenings on the street we’d all learn new tricks properly. Had Switch frontside flips one night!
I have probably landed every flip trick in the past every way. Straight, switch nollie and fakie, 180. 360 ones I doubt. Definitely never done switch 360 flip and certainly not going round with them.
