Sometimes. Gino one was painful and felt like no one had anything to say to one another.
Yeah I think Gino just is incredibly dry in interviews so would be expected. I thought Braydon could be a little more fun but he just seems out of touch and salty and the interviewer didnāt really have much structure to what he was asking, also think he should take a break from Baker crew interviews for a bit
He needs somebody to tell him not to do any more interviews. Tarnishing his legacy.
Great skater turns out to be a boring dude with nothing to say shocker.
I didnt mind the Gino one but on recollection, I canāt remember any of it (mainly as I was working) so I guess it is nothing I hadnāt heard before. Just need to see him stylinā his way around on a skateboard every now and again, thats enough.
Ginoās interview was alright, I liked how he acknowledged being pretty self-conscious and trying to be less of a cool guy and more of a good guy.
Haha, love this.
Itās mad. I am 9 years older than him but he started skating 3 years before me.
I watched this (Barney Page) one over the weekend. Seems like a nice person⦠and so relaxed on his board.
Inspired to find a something suitable in the Sour soft goods line now.
Itās early days for Nicole and her podcast but itās needed in a male dominated industry.
This one hits the fast lane fast. Good interviewee. Cata rules.
16:35 is pure jokes.
AVEās Beyond Boards interview was cool. Nothing really new there but he sounds a lot more relaxed and happy than he did in the past. Pretty rad that he gets up at 4.30 or 5 in the morning most days. I liked how he said that he was happy even if he didnāt get a trick as long as he had tried it as hard as he could. If Rambo did switch backside nosegrindsā¦
Planning to listen to both of these at the weekend.
Enjoyed the Barney Page one, that was good. I followed that with the Tom K one which has been out for a while.
Will likely catch up when I can but there are loads of videos to catch up on too and between work, family and skating I donāt have much free time left now.
Iāve read/watched/heard AVE talk about his time in Russia with his step-dad in so many interviews and was so stoked Quentin actually got in touch with him for a question.
Biased here as a big fan of AVE and Beyond Boards but agree with @franc about him coming off very at ease in there and thought it was refreshingly candid overall.
Actually found the ave episode kinda boring. Only done 30 mins or so and gave up. Might go back, might not.
I like his stuff. I was actually going to buy his new zine off the Sci-Fi site but it was Ā£16 P&P for a 12 quid zine so didnāt happen
