I used to be a second hand car salesman and had a ‘brutal honesty’ policy. It used to take people by suprise and apparently I was quite good. Helps if your product is good though.
No wonder some estate agents have a bad rep though. I remember That’s Life on TV and some estate agent got outed as they’d used tip ex to hide a tower block directly behind a house, proper stoneage photoshop

Work in sales myself and have the last 5 years, and I take the same approach. See loads of bullshitters out there and although it can get a short term win, they’ll never come out on top in the long run. Plus I’d rather earn slightly less and not be a prick than the alternative.
