Yeah that one wasgreat

Short thing with Theo Hand, the photographer who shot Penny, Muska, Ali Boulala amongst others back in the 90’s. Cool bit of background on Penny’s rock to rock leap in Spain.

Went to New York last month and had a chat with Alexis Sablone about her new shoe, the skatepark she designed in New Jersey, and opening and outfitting Plush Skate Shop in Connecticut.

What was the story behind the barn in France with the miniramp? Like how did he end up disappearing to France specifically vs Oxfordshire countryside? Did he have French family or something?

Edit - apparently his mum has a house in Southern France and that’s where he went

Gravette always enjoyable - his Malto story is pretty funny

This is old (2017) but has recently been posted up on YT. I listened to it last night and really enjoyed it. Admittedly I had a long action packed day starting at 4am and once I finally got to sit down in the evening I started helping myself to the contents of the ‘medicinal’ cookie jar and was consequently pretty faded but there are definitely a few good World stories etc and a some laughs in there.

*Ignore the shitty looking thumbnails.

That interactive spot/trick graph is amazing.

yeah love the presentation, could read 4ply articles all-day (though did zone out a bit in the numbers section of the Puelo talk)

the Mario Bros-themed QS breakdown is superb, just re-read it: Quartersnacks Top Ten 2022 Analysis

I interviewed Jack O’Grady for Free Skate Mag #47 and spoke to a few of his friends – Trent Evans (Pass~Port owner), Geoff Campbell (Pass~Port filmer/Nike SB Australia TM) and Matlok Bennett Jones – for their firsthand account of seeing Jack skate over the years.

I also edited their commentary into a little biopic spanning Jack’s early years and into ‘Kitsch’ to accompany it.
