Outgnars or outstyles?
Who is it?
Completely agree on the writer.
And, yes, Lintell is definitely up there. I guess what strikes me about Joe is his ability to skate rails that look nearly unskateable. His spot searching takes him to some really gnarly and really knackered old provincial spots that are outside of the usual cities we see in UK skate videos (London, Manchester, Sheffield etc.). I think that is pretty unique. Granted, Joe often has to fashion a run up from wood, and there is something to say about the legality of that.
He skates gnarly stuffā¦and it seems like he does a lot of work to find his own spots which I think is amazing.
This guy is chilly chill.
Karl Watson knows how to pick āem.
(*his Pocket Mag āFollowedā was an enjoyable watch too).
Never understood how Niall Neeson got a career in skateboard writing, heās always sucked
A career in UK skateboard writing is punishment enough for him.
heartily disagree. his writing during the early years of Kingpin folllwed nicely from Gavin Hills, Earl Parker and B Powell.
he had a tactile love of skateboarding, perceptive enough to pin it within a wider frame of āthe real worldā with some humour and piss-taking
Yeah, I can see that.
Instantly reading that.
Vicious Cycle was available as a download from a New York skate website - Metropolitan maybe?
and holy fuck Zeredās part was heavy. his swtich line at those blue ABC ledges looked geniunely goofy
Pretty unremarkable but some good bitsā¦
Hmm, am at level 5, Iāve landed 2 fs shuvits in my life but canāt say Iāve got them. Funny how it goes from varial flip to backside air on vert lol.
I posted this in the cruiser thread yesterday and said I thought Iād seen it on the forum somewhere already. Found it!
Really good.
Good little interview and some rad photos.
