Iāve watched this many, many times over the weekend, seems itās split in to four parts the second āwrong way outā part and then the final mirror/opposites part being my favouritesā¦
Iām sure by now thereās loads of idiots hating on the fact he opens that last part with a fifty and then closes it with the opposite trick and finishes with a fifty, I love it, he gets away with it and it feels like a little dig at line politics to meā¦
We all know he can do pretty much whatever he wants on a skateboard, so making the choice to do a fifty, and have it as his āEnderā I think itās genius.
Sorry Neddy, almost forgot.
Thanks Mush. So precise.
When I first watched the vid I thought āHmmm Switch Mong⦠oh no, just swapping stanceā¦ā I kinda like it, very MJ-esque.
Pretty funny.
Anybody else looking forward to Garyās take on the next Skateline?
Itās up. Itās good.
Ah shit - reaching for the remote as we speak!
i didnāt realise there were others who love the show!
edit - mega lol at āif i was a jehovaās witness this be the christmas gift iād be acceptingā
Thought I better watch Verso again before I start work.
Literally nothing else in skateboarding is of any interest right now. Suciu has shut down skateboarding.
Actually made me hyped to go skate at the moment, this will have to tide me over till Baker 4.
Yeah I am expecting a lot from Baker 4 too. Unrealistically perhaps, Iām expecting them to reveal a sick new skater that hasnāt blown up on social media yet.
So whatās everybody doing instead of skateboarding post-Verso?
Just kidding.
That skateline was incredible. Would be quotable af if it wasnāt peppered with n bombs.
Iāve watched this at least twice a day, every day, and probably will for a couple more weeksā¦
I had already been trying to film a bunch of opposites and mirror lines myself and was feeling like I was perhaps overthinking things a bit, but I like the meticulousness that heās clearly put in, even things like the timing of a push and the space between tricks.
Iāve been into mirrored shit since Boulala did that nosebluntslide/switch nosebluntslide on a picnic table in the Flip Ams section in 411 30. I thought that was so ill. Olā Dirty Smolik had an interview in TWS or something around that time too, when Fulfill The Dream came out, in which he talked about having to learn a trick switch when he learns it regular.
Artoās intro in Sorry (the skate footage, not that slam) certainly cemented my love for that.
You never overthink stuff you want to land or film, itās just dedication and thatās 300% rad in my book, but Iām a nerd when it comes to that shit too.
Suciu should be awarded the Ronnie Creager certificate of linesmanship.
Thinking about itā¦Creager also used to throw out the big bangers along with tech lines. His Rodney vs Daewon 1 footage for exampleā¦and that clip where he suddenly flips a huge double set out of nowhere.
Creager apparently got the boot from ƩS for not skating enough gnarly shit and had tons of footage on double sets and gnarly rails during the couple months after that, which he had obviously filmed before getting the boot. Weird.
Dudeās a legend.
Can you imagine giving Ronnie Creager the boot from your team? WTF is up with the world?
