The floor
Just some walls but I’d started cutting in at the ceiling and had my fall.
Thats a new carpet right.
Naa it’s old.
I had the exact same accident when I bought my first house. I used a shitty plastic chair as a stool to paint the ceiling of my porch instead of something decent.
I kept leaning back and back instead of moving the chair and it flipped out under me and I landed on it horizontal and it exploded underneath me.
Had footmarks above head high down my wall.
A piece of the chair went in and out of my leg and left a thumb sized hole in my thigh. I had to have an operation under general anaesthetic to cut it up and sew it back up.
Painting is SHIT. worst job ever. So boring.
And deadly.
Do none of you losers own a ladder? Call this a midlife thread? Daaaamn
If you use a roller remember to go slow. Mate of mine was complaining about splatter everywhere and turned out he was going at it like a mad brian
Dont overload it either or itll drip. And spend the big money on decent rollers because the budget ones will leave the wall looking like you painted it with a hairball you pulled out of the drain
Just got one. The guy in the hardware shop told me it was the Rolls Royce of ladders. It was his only ladder for sale.
I was working a job before and kept getting YMCA stuck in my head, someone else came along later and I heard him whistling it to himself. I mentioned it to the owner of the place and he told me to look at the ladder in corner of the room. Brand -‘Youngman’
that’s my ladder story.
Mate, you’re meant to keep that bit to yourself. Snitches everywhere yeah
I buy cheap ones and chuck them away at the end of every day because YOLO
You mad bastard
Top tip, to avoid either cleaning them or throwing them away every day, roll out cling film then roll over it with the roller so it wraps around.
Nah I used to do that, chucking them straight out is the next level up from cling film
Do it! It’s a big step.
I find the ones with lots of little steps better.
Prefer my step ladder, don’t get on with my real ladder.
I’ll get my coat
It’s 24 ladders in one, but wait, that’s not all… well, actually it is. You’ll never need another ladder says the guy on the infomercial. If I was in the market for a new ladder, which I’m not, I’d be seriously considering the Transformaladder, (other ladders are available - but they’re probably not as good).

Ah, the wonders of late night/early morning tv.
