Nice work, especially for a first outing.
What dough recipe did you go for? So many variables, but I find 65% hydration always yields good results. (Eg. 650ml water per kg flour)
Cheers. I did 50%. Been using that dough recipe for a while in the home oven. Got to say, really enjoyed the whole process of firing the pizzas though.

Sewing noob question.
I finally got a sewing machine after talking about getting one for like a year. I’ve sort of figured out threading the bobbin and needle (1 in every 5 attempts), and am just practicing trying to do some threads on dishcloths.
But every time I try, the thread just spools up like this and jams the machine. I’ve only managed to get one line of actual stitches. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Bobbin tension maybe. What does the bobbin look like when when you take it out?

Think it was the thread tension. It was set to 1, but I watched a couple of videos and a few people suggested between 3 and 4, so I tweaked it and it seems to be working now.
Have successfully managed to sew in a straight line!

I remembered the smell of my Grandma and mums old Singer sewing machines when I was a little kid as soon as I saw that photo…
Weird, me and the missus made a peg bag yesterday. I had to show her how to use it and we just made it us as we went along.
Going in the studio today to finish or get close to rearranging, will post pics if successful.

Just hemmed my first Tshirt. Stoked! Did a test run on an old one first but think this was mostly successful. Possibly went about 10mm too short, so hopefully it won’t shrink further, but pretty pleased with it - I kept the original hem, and even sewed the logo patch back on.
Feel like I’ve learnt a new skill.
