Any recommendations on solar powered cool boxes?

Some proper techy ones out there I don’t know what I’m looking at so I come to the shed thread on a skateboarding forum for advice
I can’t imagine that unless the solar cells are separate from the cool box that would work very well at all. There’s just not enough surface area to generate much power.
I got given one of them Yeti ones years ago and was the first time I properly used it last weekend. Was impressed how it kept the ice reasonably solid for 2 days in the back of a hot car.
Put up a ceiling fan in our bedroom. The kids have broken their tower fans and we have one left.
Works well, plus I’ve just guaranteed no further heatwaves this year. Thank me later ![]()

Anything Gozney within your budget will be both outdoors and good.
I have the original Roccbox model they did, which is a bit of an awkward form factor really, but their newer models all now seem to be variations on their OG Dome model.
Seem to have both wood and gas options. I found gas completely fine.

Yeah but there’s no denying the taste sensation from a wood-fired pizza oven. Hmmmm that bubbly, slightly charred base. And if wood pellets become a chore (although why would they? A big bag of perfect fuel with a little shovel?) then you can have fun finding a big bunch of perfect twigs.
They seem to mostly be one of those things that people buy and then don’t really use enough to justify their existence. I dunno, maybe if you eat a shit ton of pizza.
Yeah i just don’t eat the bleeders enough to justify it. My kids still won’t eat anything other than a margherita either. Boring sods

I got an Ooni Karu Pro 2. It was a covid impulse buy but have used it most weekends over summers since. Havent bothered with the wood fuel yet, seems a faff when the gas is ready to go, but overall it’s been great.
Each to their own obvs but I don’t get why you wouldn’t use wood fuel, same with a barbecue, if it’s gas then I don’t see the point, it just tastes like you cooked it indoors.
And it’s not really a faff. You light the wood, fill up the chimney stack with wood pellets, walk away and enjoy some music, hey presto in 15 minutes you have an oven that’s ready to cook a load of pizzas.
Jazzy mates have one. Doubt id drop £400 on one. Lot of faff for what it is. Plus they all bitched at me for anchovies which are fucking brilliant and they are wrong
I think we need some sort of chart explaining the levels of perceived faff compared to actual physical faff. It’s very much like the small boats immigration situation. The gas-using establishment want you to believe there’s a massive issue with faff, which will bring the whole pizza party to its knees, when in fact the faff is only 0.02% of the entire process.
