I love this old Anticon compilation.
The Anticon Giga Single compilation was where I first found Buck 65 (Pen Thief). Deep puddle Dynamics and Them still get airtime but Jel‘s Greenball album more than anything else. Great album.
If I buy anything off Discogs and I see a seller’s got an offer on for X amount of albums equals free shipping or something, I go for it. I had a big bundle of CDs and this was in it, some good stuff on there.
Tim Reaper, Deep Jungle, Future Retro etc, basically sounds like golden era intelligent jungle but made yesterday
How many of these original T&J releases have they done now? Is it first 4? Keep missing them
Yeah 4
The site is shit it says sold out for 10 mins after it drops before appearing, I actually gave up last time then gave it one more refresh after a few mins and it was there
Sheeit. Might have to resign myself to never owning I guess. At least I won’t have to look at reinforced’s shitty website. That place is like the inverse of the glittery turd metaphor.
I got a sealed CD of this for £2.49 on ebay (hazyville)
I’m curious to know what his process is. Sounds like everything is chucked through a cheap compressor pedal and recorded on a tape 4 track
nice one, I did have a quick look around but didn’t see anything
Quick poll, does anyone on here use / buy cassette tapes? I know, hipster, blah
I do.
My daily has a tape player so I stay happily stuck in the 90’s with my music, unless I see a new release (which are mostly by the same bands anyway) on cassette…
…which reminds me I want the Chemical Brothers new one.
Edit: It’s ‘on sale’
Cheers for thee reply. I just bought a once top of the range Sony for £45 delivered. Surprised how good it sounds. But the main reason is to try to flog some on bandcamp. There’s a bit of a market for them. I’ve still got loads too.
I buy them if it’s in a bundle in a sale of an album on Bandcamp or if I see something I really like, since I got a tape deck in with my HiFi stack + in my Mk2 Fiesta.
I did like it when I was using my Mk2 as a daily and I had a handful of albums to delve into, instead of having the phone to just get everything at once.
Nice! Mate of mine used to have one of them, XR2i, found out when he scrapped it that it was a cut and shut, sketchy
Classic that is, my one is in for work now and there was a lot of dodgy shiz with that, mainly filler. Lots of filler.
