I don’t mind a bit of crust, eat static were wicked live, but yeah the techno stuff was more interesting

Quality stuff. Don’t have much 808 state might need to get on ebay for the £2.50 cds

Today’s sunrise set (ie woke early and did this at 6am)

Checked Discogs during a recent bout of record selling, and found that the 808 State twelves were worth pennies. Double-figure pennies. I guess they made a lot of them, but still quite surprising.

Wrong thread? Saw this pop up when I went for a wee browse on Quietus

Still think it was a dick move not to accept drum and bass. Gerald and Goldie id say are more in the dnb camp than straight up jungle, assuming there is an exact difference. Question writers trying to be clever but got it wrong.

Some evidence

Got big hands don’t he?

And you know what that means?

Big gloves

Surprised he could use those spraycans with any degree of accuracy tbh

That’s quite the opinion.

Oof. Grauniad resorting to employing edglrds?

man i swear the concert ticket price thing is getting even worse. got tickets to see a few bands this year already but getting heavily priced out of seeing more. i’d like to see Pearl Jam (£150+) and Alice Cooper (mostly for his guitarist Nita Strauss but also £150+). AC DC too well over £150 quid

for comparison tickets to see Greenday at fucking Wembley were less than that. it’s madness

i’m happy seeing smaller bands who play smaller venues but even that is getting silly

Aren’t gigs how artists make their money these days? With streaming and such paying pennies? Most people are no longer buying their albums or singles, just streaming them, so that is getting added on to the ticket price?

Agree it’s ridiculous, a couple of gigs I’ve looked at were £45 just for a bog standard very average kind of venue thing.

Yeah it’s about that price for tiny Scandinavian metal bands who no one outside of Europe has ever heard of.

The ticketmaster/live nation shit has really ruined live music.
