Neil Young - Don’t let it bring you down. Was just telling my mate we first heard that track on a skate video and now I’m starting to doubt myself. Anyone back me up?

Feel like it was maybe a UK vid, but to be fair I’m not a reliable witness.

i’m sure it wasn’t his version, A cover of it springs to mind.

Edit, have no idea who did it or even it it’s real but I think you’re right but just don’t hear his version for some reason.

I can’t find anything online. There’s a good chance I maybe just made it up…

Often funny street dj around town, usually cheers me up

New Godspeed slaps.

Despite the depressing nature of the album title, it actually feels more up beat and less nihilistic overall than some of their recent albums.

Yeah, wasn’t sure what I felt from the teaser on BC I listened to.

Controversial opinions:
I am a fan of Everything Everything, it’s a weird thing as musically, every single album disappoints and I hate it all, so cheesy, getting more and more normal with every effort. I give them a few listens out of respect for the couple of banging demos I heard before their first album and weirdly, They all come to life once you accept them for what they are. The new album is the worst, fucking awful, cringey pop, so disappointing. But yet again, it’s ended up being a pop banger.
Not everyones cup of tea i’ll assume, i’m sure but they’re addictive once you succumb.

Not sure if this guy has been mentioned before, but is a must for any Doom, Y.O.D, Celph Titled fan.

This album is a homage to Doom with a Ninja Turtle theme.

I really like Mickey Diamond. He’s really prolific so not everything hits. All the Gucci ghost stuff is really good and most of the Bangkok Dangerous series…

Really enjoying the new GY!BE album, did anyone manage to see them on this tour?

This track made me laugh and he does have a point.

This came up as a suggestion on youtube and i obviously clicked on it because of the thumbnail. Nice background noise to work to.

“This is Neoclassical music, a genre I may have birthed”

Hmm. Max Richter would like a word.

Still, fair play for accepting responsibility for convincing terrible people they were into ‘classical music’ and therefore clever and interesting.

Like how St Germain made people think they were into jazz for a few months.

This sounds good to me, hearing that album echo around that building could be pretty great.

You can’t now. It’s ticketed.
It’s free still, but you need to sign up.
And you only get one ticket if you win in the ballot.
Annoying as I was going with my daughter.

OH bum

At least there’ll be nobody talking, if nobody knows each other.

So, you have to sign up to be a member to Tate or just sign to emails?

I’m not that fussed if it’s too hard to do. I’m fairly indifferent to SAWs, just thought it’d be a really fun thing to do with the missus.

No. I just got an email from Warp…Deadline to enter was 1pm today.
This was the text in the email:

Due to demand, Tate have introduced a free ticketing system for the event next week to guarantee entry. 50% of these tickets will be available from 14:00 BST the day of the event via Tate’s website.

The other 50% will be available via ballot through this mailing list. To enter the ballot for a ticket, please opt in below. Each ticket admits 1 person

Please note, the album will be played in its entirety of 3 hours and 4 minutes. We encourage you to only enter the ballot if you intend to stay for the full duration of playback.

Names will be picked from the ballot at random and notifications will be sent out Friday 18 October at 17:00 BST to claim your ticket. Any unclaimed tickets by Monday 21 October 17:00 BST will be reallocated.

There will also be a walk-up reserves list for no shows on the night, but we expect places to be very limited. Entry is only guaranteed with a ticket, with last entry strictly 19:00 BST.

Thanks, Warp Team
