Anyone know that RWDFWD shop in Bristol? They seem to ignore emails, got a missing order

Sam Pittis is my favourite, playing the early morning gems/ less ads.
cannot deal with the Walking in the air guy whatsoever, ha

Bend Sinister was an answer in yesterday’s Guardian cryptic crossword.

Old one, well must have been 2004 or so. Rest of the album didn’t come up to this track.

If you click buy at the bottom of the page you can get it for 99p at the single track price

Had a quick listen, sounds good, the usual stuff, still torn between "that’s nice " and “is that it?”

Not sure what the Russian title is about

Preordered the rec but not listened yet. It’s on my bandcamp app so will check it on a wander to the pub in a bit

Is that a wooden box set? Looks tacky as f… part of the Aphex heirloom collection?

Edit, lol

I found that whole re-release clunky and weird.
Whilst the remastering was good - the extra tracks seem fairly thoughtless. So much stuff of his from that era floating around, unmastered and unreleased…but he added a live track from 15 years after the album came out to the album.
Weird. And why I skipped it.
That box doesn’t look great.

I have the brown vinyl pressing from when it first came out. Not a great pressing, but whatever.

Disgogs flippers suck.

A friend has written a book about the life & legacy of Marcus Intalex - a more Burnley / Manchester-focus than the usual 90s London-centric history of breakbeat / jungle / d&b, worth picking up if those scenes are of interest..

Early 90s Burnley flyers / headlines:

Nice mellow Sunday watch, if anyone’s into his work. I saw him play with The Messthetics a couple of years ago and he was killing it on drums. Interesting he says if it was up to him Fugazi would be touring

Marcus was the soundtrack to my first club experiences, Friday nights at Angels. I’ll always rate him higher than pretty much anyone else.
One of my gf’s photos is in that book:

Ace photo - says it all!

Was being projected at the launch on Friday - was a good turnout, I was more aware of him from going to Guidance at Music Box & Sankey’s

Ah I went to sooo many Guidance nights. Good times.

Just been to Hammersmith Apollo to watch Jason Isbell. Most of the audience were well over 40. Including me. But he’s good.
