It’s a bit of a cash grab really, I haven’t bought any of the warp reissues except the black dog one I got used

It might be inflation but I think costs have come down, and most other lps are like £27. Except the chart stuff which is for some reason £45!

Also I hate clear vinyl cos you can’t see the breaks, one of the useful things about black vinyl

Only had a quick listen, some pretty good raps but the beats are 10/10

I thought it was priced pretty reasonably by the standards of today’s reissues considering it’s a 3LP.

If I didn’t already have it and Quoth I’d be getting a copy.

There’s something about Alfredo II I just can’t get into, despite the quality of the beats.

Yep - I’m the same as @cleam.clackers - I’d be down but own the original press of the LP and Quoth.

This post is entirely for gloating reasons.

Might get a Polygon Window cap, tho. Wish is didn’t have the AFX logo on the back.

Oh are we gloating here? Cool. I also have the Polygon Window OG lp, and Quoth.

And - no word of a lie - I have a 5-pack of Curly Wurlys.

Yeah same here… new one is better

.didnt realise polygon was 3LP. That’s an OK price I guess

Albums are having to be spread onto multiple discs for better quality now anyway.

In this case it’s cos it comes with the Quoth EP

I’m actually more of a fan of an LP on one piece. Because the idea of getting up every 3 songs is not the one…

With you on that one. I have for instance Santana Abraxas on a fairly cheap single disc pressing and I have never thought shit I need this on 180 super audiophile 2 lp set for £40. It sounds great as it is and getting up every 15 minutes is annoying

No-one tell them I don’t really dj anywhere these days

If I want to listen to a full album I’ll play it thru cdj instead so I don’t have to move

Yeah totally. It’s inconvenient and most people wouldn’t tell the difference anyway for ear or gear reasons. But people do like to have the best of the best. People that fill up space with Flacs etc probably wouldn’t be able to tell or justify the difference from a 320mp3.

There is a difference of course but it’s negligible because you can only hear the differences on high end gear.

One of those youtubers did a blind test and no-one could tell the difference between wav and mp3

Saw them live a few times as a few different friends bands supported them here and thete and I’d get a guest which was nice.
Never really got into them, despite trying - but the live shows were really immense.
Ended up out one evening with said friends, Brett and the drummer.

I was kind of drinking a lot then but do remember Brett especially being really nice.

RIP.

More of a pointless topic I suppose but why are rap album covers almost universally shit?

Sequel to one of the best albums ever, from one of the best rappers ever, and it’s got the loony tunes circles with WordArt font on it.

Is it like deck graphics, where the pro doesn’t give a shit about what they are?
