Tiago shit on Hsu there

The height of his Ollie!

Heavy video!

Very cool that the Thrasher covers weren’t the enders for Tiago and Foy.

My only two gripes are the music choices for Tiago and Foy…
Beatles ender was great. First song was too laid back for what was going down, though. It needed to pick back up in feels after Tiagos part.
…and using Ghostface for Tiago was a mistake. He’s used so much stuff like this, it just feels like it’ll eventually just blend in my memory to a mish-mash of all his other parts.

But…I think those things are minor.
Westgate is just incredible. Always is. I’m so glad he put that out. His State of Mind and Stay Gold parts are epic. This is 100% up there with those.
Tiago and Foy are both just video game territory now in terms of spots.

The frontside nollie K line in NYC…and then switch frontside flip over the bin…That kind of came across as a little prod to Tyshawns crown. Probably not, but the idea amuses me.

Yeah…Will rewatch this later. Amazing.

Ha! I thought the same thing.

Tiago switch frontside flipping trashcans for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Just watched it again, which is rare these days, especially for a big budget video.

I just checked Slap to see what the reception was over there. Miserable. Do those guys even like skateboarding?

Yeah I saw those comments on Slap. I really don’t understand why the filming was so heavily criticised. Mind boggling.

Also, yes! Tiagos front nollie crook line was one of the best things in the video.

Happy to see Foy didn’t rely too heavily on his fakie fs crooks and innovated instead.

Fs heel flip on the brick quarter was mental although it felt two sided - yes I can kill it on transition / Here’s your token transition trick.

My only complaint would be the frame skips when I was watching it. Put it down to release day and watching it on my xbox, so dropped the settings to 1080p, whilst not the best on a large TV it was manageable.

Last Slap comment mentioned the same thing about the skips.

Fries my mind whenever I see it….

It’s definitely print/frame/wall worthy!

I only watched it once and nothing I could notice bothered me with the filming, I thought there was far too much slo mo though.

Maybe they are all so used to Strobeck‘s style of filming being used in everything these days, that being able to actually see the skating feels alien to them all now? Haha.

Gifted Hater was going in on the filming as well on his livestream. He thought some of the Tiago filming was a bit erratic. And, overall, he felt the video was a bit sterile, which I get. But, you do have to expect a bit of that for a big, corporate release. The skating makes up for the lack of personality to the edit.

Yeah my fear was that NB would ruin it with corpo editing but actually it was pretty well done. It’s not very creative, but it presents the skateboarding nicely. I feel like the size of spots and the speed and all that stuff was well communicated.
