I liked this when when it came out but watching it again made me realize how A Visual Sound/Tincan Folkloresque it is. Never thought about that before. Lines that start with half cabs up curbs, ledge boardslides, jazz, the filming, the editing… Interesting. Will watch it again, it definitely makes me want to go explore weird abandoned areas on my own.

Nice review from a non-skate entity here.

Nice, will take a look later. Wonder how long the ledge over the grate is, 22ft or so?

I was about to say no way.

But this article….

Says it’s 20ft.

Shoutout calling your baby Fishhooks.

I love photo’s where the boards look like bananas. This one is amazing, I remember it well.

This is the first thing I think of when talking about flushing meadows. So many things that make this sequence amazing. The control that Puleo has on such an awkward trick, the simple kit and blue stain blank board, shot at night so cuts out any background, and the fact that he looks about 10 years old and almost like he’s nodding off mid trick.

Always love the cultural and historical aspects of the spots he talks about, totally frames their legacy
