even if you do narrow down the target audience/market for a product like this, how well is it really going to hold up? you’re talking fitting technology/sensors to monitor speed/rotation/height etc into a rectangle thats prolly 6cm x 8cm at most, and anywhere from 1/8 to 1/2 inch thick, which will then constantly be hit by vibrations, impacts etc.
I was thinking the same, thank you! I really appreciate your comment. The main task for me is to see which group would be interested, and who we definitely should not focus on. The next steps are; how could we reach the target group and in which way should we introduce the product to them. But first I need enough respons on my survey and qualitative research hahah
If the visuals are finished I would love to share it with you. Last summer there was a research by a Belgian company to see how a sensor could ‘survive’ on a skateboard without getting in the way. Results showed that there was a small free spot between the trucks, so the product will be designed to fit in there.

The person you’re replying to knows nothing about skateboarding or skateboarders btw.
Hahahaha. Didn’t he have a Lib Tech board.
There’s no science to being a good skater. Most of the best skaters are stoned out of their mind.
You just gotta get out there and learn from your friends and from watching videos.
This thread made me think of Powell Flight decks.
Good luck
Are you serious?
hahahahahahaha.
