When I back dated my symptoms starting, which was basically sniffles. It started last Thursday. App says I’m ok to him out from Sunday morning. So that’s good. I still feel ok. Bit more tired than usual but was up at 5.30 with my boy so fingers crossed I’ve got away with it pretty light

not stoked because they sent my little one home from nursery. not because he has a temperature mind but because his temperature rose from 36 to 37. what the actual fuck. he came home singing and dancing. took his temperature at home and it’s 37. what the fuck.
he’s going to be off for 2 weeks now anyway so considering whether we should actually get a test at all

37 is normal if 37 is your normal temp, but a people can range from 34 to 38 as normal. If you start of at 34 and go up to 38 you probably would consider yourself to have a highe temperature even though its not normally considered as high.
Sending a little home for change in temp like that is BS. They do not regulate there body temps as well as adults so a 2 or even 3 degree change from eating or running about is normal for little ones.
by the government definition of a temperature he doesn’t have a high temp at all. it’s ridiculous. i get that that they need to cover their asses but this is a pisstake. i am displeased
well, we managed to get him a test super quick anyway, he’s still absolutely fine. his “temperature” has gone down.

Yep, I realise your wife has been ill, but the thing is that you’re paying the bills, rent/mortgage, etc. so you have to tell her that if she’s staying for a long period of time, she needs to help with washing up, looking after the kids, etc. You can start doing this in a really passive way, like saying “I’ll put the kids to bed while you do the dishes”, that sort of thing. Give her a choice between 2 things that need doing.
BTW, I suck at diplomacy. I’m as subtle as a brick.
My inlaws came out for a small portion of our honeymoon, my wife’s choir won a competition to perform in Vegas so we went out for that and they surprised us by flying out to watch her as well. Its not like they were in adjoining rooms or anything but it definitely raises eyebrows when you mention it
Virtually all of that might be excusable if it wasn’t for the duration. Six months is truly taking the piss. I had to stay at my brother in laws for work during the week for a couple of months. He was totally cool about it and never mentioned rent or anything but by day two I offered up £100 a week just as a token gesture (this was central London in a nice house) just because it felt like the right thing to do. Also stayed out the way and tidied up after myself straightaway. Just basic manners.

Trying to send my camera’s out for Brownie to fix 'em wasn’t as simple as it seemed with DHL;
First of all I take them in with me yesterday into Swansea, to find out all the service points are gone due to the shops they were in being shut. I thought I’d drive up to the depot after work and found out they couldn’t take it, as it wasn’t booked on the right section of the site (I almost got lost trying to find it, thanks to it being improperly marked on Google Maps and I was driving around lost in some industrial estate).
Today I booked it all in, paid for it to be sent, got a label printed and all that jazz. Happy days I thought. Nah. I was about to head up when someone from the head office called to say they’re not sending anything out until the New Year, saying I should get a refund ASAP and that the site should’ve been updated earlier today.
Not sure if it’s just crimbo, COVID or Brexit related. The one good thing is that I didn’t take it and it got stuck in their system for an eternity.
yeah everything’s going to go to shit with brexit anyway, rate you’re probably better waiting till sometime in jan at least tbh

Yeah I had a parcel supposed to arrive on Saturday and it’s said ‘will deliver within 24 hours’…it’s Friday.
