Probably already asked you this - have you got any problems with mould, damp or similar in the house? Have you run a dehumidifier for a couple of days in the place? Going back a few years, I used to always get a heavy, lung-focused chesty cough/infection as the flat was super damp with mould in hidden corners. Since moving, i’ve had no problems.
House went on the market late on Friday, and we’ve already had at least one viewing request (missed the call, but not the end of the world - we’ll call back today).
Which really should be in Stoked! because we’re well ready to move and have our eye on a couple of places including one by the coast about three minutes from a skatepark.
Should be, except last night we had an ambulance down our street to the HMO a few doors down. Not unusual or surprising, they’re fairly keen on their substances and do like to shout and threaten each other quite a lot.
The unconscious body on the pavement and CSI van that followed, not so common. There was still a van on the street when I took the littlun to grandparents this morning, and cars coming and going.
Fuck’s sake. Great timing guys. I can see the local rag headlines already.
HMRC.
Anyone familiar with the Flat Rate VAT Scheme?
I was on it for a few years in the UK. Worked out fine for me as I wasn’t buying so much stuff, so it ended up that I couldn’t claim VAT back at all, but would charge 20% and pay HRMC 13%. All legit, according to the accountant. That was 3-4 years ago now, so the rules may have changed!
Yer Iv given them the full 20% VAT and not the reduced rate I should submitted - basically overpaying by £101 or something. Just trying to work out how I can change that.
Are the Belgians similar to the French re general vaccine mis-trust and scepticism?
Ive lost track of the number of facebook posts saying “if the vaccine works why are we going into another lockdown, if it doesnt work why are they rushing it out to everyone”
Gotta get them Microsoft sales in before the end of the financial year innit
Took a big slam trying a rock to fakie. Ended up jarring my elbow badly after putting my hand down and had to cut the session off early. It still hurts but I figure it’s just bruising. Not the end of the world, I’ll get back on it next week.
I’m not leaning back enough. Getting the rock fine and lifting the front truck off but think I’m leaning too much into the ramp. I’ll get it eventually, I just don’t seem to learn things quickly or without taking a few slams ha.
That sucks mate, not had it but had sciatica a few years back and that was bad enough.
Grim. I was on tramadol, codeine naproxene and diazepam for a few months. Gave me gnarly reflux and now i get a chest infection every time i get a cough which I’m waiting for the end of Covid before i get fixed (if i can)
My backs better though so meh
Isn’t some CBD product supposed to be good for it? Arthritis I mean.
I have it to look forward to as well.
At least you got to take diazepam though. Best shit ever
Ooof. Sounds proper gnarly
Can second.
An ex destroyed her back and got prescribed cupboards of that shit which I somehow ended up dipping into after breaking a few ribs. That very quickly escalated into ‘I’ll just have a Trammy before going to the pub 3/4 times a week’.
Sketchy shit
Sounds ouchy. Healing vibes!
I heard that but they basically did fuck all for me. I was on a total of 19 pills a day (not all tramadol obviously) and was still driving about and drinking. One of the nurses said ginners have higher pain thresholds and metabolyse pain killers faster so might have been that (cmoac)
It’s all the bullying we get at junior school that toughens us up.
I was prescribed diazepam and naproxen for my back and it didn’t feel like it helped at all. They did offer me tramadol but I’m too scared to take it.
Still not managed to see a specialist since being referred in october last year. Physio seems to help though.
What Im hearing is we’re hard as fuck mate, don’t worry about it
I took one before snowboarding (my ankle was in pieces, but I want to do some laps), Iv never felt so spicy in my life.
