I know nothing about mortgages but does 85% ltv mean if the house was 100 they would want you to have 85 cash?
15 cash
slightly more reasonable but still a chunk.
Yes the increase from 10 to 15% is going to be £35k.
Bank wankers
Dropped one of my vinyl records today whilst trying to be careful and delicate with it.
Scratched the fuck out of the A side. The real fucking bummer is that it arrived yesterday, so I’ve had to go ahead any buy another. I feel like such a Michael Fabricant, it’s completely ruined.
At least I won’t do it again… hopefully.
Dude just listen to the song on Spotify. Problem solved!
I’m such an old man when it comes to music.
I bought myself a proper hifi unit, turntable and Kef speakers for Xmas. All second hand but for a banging price.
I love sitting down and blasting something, flicking through the artwork, etc.
I was just being daft. Nothing beats vinyl
One of my dogs is epileptic and hasn’t had a seizure in the last 6 months that I’ve known about and now he’s just had his second in 2 days.
Just got some chilli oil up my nose by accident and my face is going to melt like a nazi in raiders of the lost ark
Getting real sick and tired of seeing certain nights at skateparks that are advertised as inclusive then seeing im excluded from entering that night.
Inclusive of what and excluded for what (if you don’t me asking)?
That’s some bullshit either way. Old man night at bay was never thaaaat strictly enforced iirc
Does it matter? If your advertising as inclusive, include everyone. I keep seeing events advertised as inclusive with caveats of ‘no this, no that’. If you do that your making it exclusive, not inclusive.
Ask the skate park to change the name of the night if you’re that upset by it.
Are we talking about LGBTQ+ or female only nights and that sort of thing here?
If so, I get why you might say that but it’s just a way to include groups of people who feel excluded from the regular sessions. If you turn it around and look at it from their perspective not your own it makes more sense.
From my own experience I can tell you that Spit and Sawdust skatepark is seeing more mixed general sessions now, and there seems to be less demand for an exclusively female night. That’s something that has developed in time after making an effort to include females by giving them their own session.
It does seem to be more about the way inclusive is being used here.
My local indoor runs ‘Ladies night’ every Wednesday, which IIRC also caters for LQBT+ (I’m not 100% here though). This is not a general admission session.
They also run ‘Autism sessions’ where people with Autism can come try things out. Again they’re not general admission sessions.
Both sessions offer additional support and encouragement for the participants.
The upshot - you’d hope - is as Jimo says where general admission sessions become more mixed as time moves on.
I think sessions for women and non-heterosexual people are important. For so long, skateboarding has been an all-boys club and, as aresult, a skatepark could be a difficult place to enter if you are non-male. You would not see yourself reflected in skateboarding media, culture etc. and could legitimately feel that skateboarding is not ‘meant’ for you.
The term ‘inclusive’ in the sense you mean does not literally mean ‘everyone can skate in this session’. It’s about opening up a session to people who might not go the skatepark otherwise. You could go any other night, work and childcare considerations not withstanding.
Can definitely see all your political persuasion in your replies.
Ill repeat myself, it should not matter if im a part or not a part of any of the groups mentioned in the replies because my words are still the same.
If the event is advertised as inclusive and has a caveat of ‘no [insert group here]’, its not inclusive, its exclusive.
