Sorry mate
Yer just got to be up for 6.30ish for work.
Home now battered it home, will wait for speeding tickets.
Fucks sake
Made a booking via one of those ‘cheap flights’ websites last night, all went fine. Had an email saying to call to verify payment, in which matey said I don’t need to do anything and to wait 24 hours for another email. Double checked this with him as it seemed odd, but thought ‘oh maybe that’s it’.
Nope, booking declined and had to rebook this morning when all I wanted to do was drink coffee and pet the dog before I went to work.
Ruddy bloody bastards.
Something weird going on.
I got a couple of calls from people (regular english people, man/woman, nothing weird/suspect) saying they received calls from my number earlier in the day.
I hadn’t called anyone, so I believe my (mobile) number may have been spoofed. Why or how I have no idea.
DM’d Lebara who said to report it to the police (which I’ve done, online).
Anyone heard of anything similar happen? I am just a bit worried as I use this number for banking/2FA and I could get rolled somehow.
I take it you don’t know the people who are calling back?
I’d guess they are just using your number with no idea (or care) who you are, they just want a legit looking phone number for their scamm-ery and will move onto another one soon…
No, don’t know the people who are calling me
It would definitely freak me out but it’s most likely that any scam is just using your number against other people rather than targeting you in any way…
You should be okay with the 2FA stuff as the spoofing only works one way so any passcodes etc should always come to your phone.
I had a similar thing a few weeks back where I booked then when I tried to check in online Ryanair said third party sites aren’t allowed to sell their flights so I had to go through some paid authentication shit, it was only £1 or something but still a ballache.
