Not Stoked.

One of our cats has gone missing last night. Same time of year we lost another one two years ago. Never did find out what became of him. Spent weeks doing posters and leaflets but nothing. Absolutely devastated at the moment. Still early days so hoping he’s just stuck in a shed or something.

Doesn’t help you right now but I bought one of these a couple of years back. Come in handy many times already. Great thing to have around!

I guess you’ve already done this or about to but the Spotted page for your location on Facebook is a good place to post. I’ve seen on my local Spotted page that it’s helped get cats back to their owners.

Went to Longleat today.

I won’t be making that mistake again in a hurry.

At least not the weekend before christmas.

An absolutely fucking rank experience unless you get off from bellends violating your close personal space for 5 straight hours.

Finally got covid.

Triple vaxxed and it’s fucked me up good and proper.

Am isolating on a sofa bed in my office.

It’s not a lot of fun is it. The mother of all sore throats is what I most remember.

Hopefully it won’t last, and at least you’ll be sorted for a bit, you won’t get it again anytime soon. Rest and drink loads of tea and water. Take care.

Work’s a bit stressful at the moment with the Christmas period, and I feel like I’ve been hung out to dry a bit. Feel like my promotion has been a bit of a failed experiment and it’s sapping my motivation and the ennui is seeping into my life away from work. Not good.

None of that matters at the moment though, because I’ve just packed my wife an overnight bag so she can go stay at our friend’s house to look after their oldest kid and their two dogs, because they’re spending the night in hospital with their youngest son who’s just been blue-lighted to oncology. Nothing conclusive yet but his chest X-Ray was patchy. He’s fucking 12 and it’s a few days before Christmas. Fuck’s sake. He’s such a good kid, man. Nothing conclusive yet but I’m just so, so bummed out.

Rough. Positive thoughts to all.

Appreciate it mate, not got kids of our own (yet), but have a lot of mates’ kids we care for. I hate to think how anything like this affects a parent.

Just had an update. The patches on his lungs they reckon are cancerous, but they’re normally secondary, so they’re searching for the primary today.

Well…I’m massively upset and I don’t even know them. What can you even say.

Cancer is the worst, and it feels infinitely more tragic with kids, I just don’t see a reason for it. I know it’s a old silly argument/statement but it’s complete proof of no god.
Really feeling for your people Jur!
