Reason for divorce: inappropriate white goods usage.

There’s only one thing for it, you’ll have to do everything yourself!

Lint catcher not being cleaned and dishwasher being stacked so it doesn’t work….i hear ya.

I had house related stuff mentioned in my divorce bumf, including that I didn’t trust her with the hoovering as she didn’t do it properly and couldn’t stack the dishwasher.
I wasn’t even militant, she just used our pisstakes as reasons because there weren’t any legit reasons.

Wife here fills dishwasher like a psychopath, I hear you

Never had a dishwasher, but am currently fitting our new kitchen which has one. Should I just leave it unplugged? I quite like the wife and don’t really fancy a divorce.

No they are game changer especially if you have kids

Recommend agreeing on loading strategy between you and wife, ensure boundaries and red lines etc are agreed upon

Most contentious area for us is whether cutlery should be point up or down and whether effort should be made to load them into their individual pockets in the basket.

We have a flat loading cutlery tray in our summer house dishwasher and this is a whole other can of worms.

Cutlery trays for the win

I hate those baskets with little holes for each piece.

Sharp knives always down everything else up.

We don’t have a dishwasher and I haven’t really been able to do any washing up since breaking my hand (basically impossible one handed).

My wife has had to do all our washing up solo for over a month.

If I have to keep this cast on much longer it might legit be the cause for our divorce.

Our household is a lawless mad max type scenario where neither of us give a shit how things go in to the dishwasher, as long as they come out clean.

Do I need to flex my double drawer dishwasher again?

Bristol’s ridiculously hard water meant we binned our dishwasher off years ago and haven’t looked back.

So dispiriting to unload a dishwasher and then have to rewash most of it again by hand…

Just had to reload our dishwasher again

isnt there a salt compartment?!?

Constantly refilled, didn’t do any good. Two different dishwashers in two different bits of Bristol, same result…

Obviously my wife’s loading technique didn’t help but even with a decent set up never got a fully clean load through.

My GF is worse at stacking and we have talked about it, again it’s become a silly joke that I restack after but we’re not getting married so…

Because of that?

It’s a serious dealbreaker on either side I think. Anyone that doesn’t consider kitchen duty alignment going into a relationship is in for heartache or a bill/payout.
