Went to empty the dishwasher the other week when a carelessly stacked plastic tub full now of dishwashing water emptied itself all over the items on the bottom drawer. Fucking livid.

leaking from the cistern into the bowl or leaking out of the toilet entirely? one of those jobs you could do yourself with relative easy, the other is fucking nightmare

This is me, so it’s the nightmare option.
Leaky cistern all over the floor. Fucked the new floor that was put down last year. Moving out in about 2 weeks so I’m hoping it’s not horrifically noticeable when fixed.
Turn of the water to the cistern, flush it a couple of times to empty it, tighten the bolts inside the cistern.
Maybe.

Yeah tried a few things and a few weeks ago, with no luck, hopefully easy fix in the right hands.
where is it leaking from? where the pipe goes into the cistern for the water or where the cistern connects to the toilet?
water is such a nightmare when its going where you don’t want it to go. at least you’re moving out

Yeah coming from the pipe into the cistern near the stop tap.
Dunno what you’ve tried already but the whole valve bit can be replaced relatively easily if you can figure out what model you need. To be honest it’s not a terribly expensive job for a decent plumber anyway
Yeah just heard from him “definitely” coming tomorrow morning now, fingers crossed an easy fix.

My new car is making some fucking knocking noise had it a week already been in the garage for a service and mot (on warranty) phone the dealer this morning and he’s livid at me because the garage didn’t fix the problem - not my fucking fault mate, see you Saturday 9.30am or I want my money back.

Messaged for a refund, 100% an engine knock I’m convinced, and you can now hear metal on metal on the brake pads on the way home.
This car passed its MOT with 0 advisories on Tuesday.
