Not Stoked.

Same here. I think I got it from a mate I had lunch with on Thursday. I was fine on Friday but I’ve been feeling pretty bad since yesterday.
I’m trying hard to not think about it but it made me miss a rad event where I could have tattooed a fair amount of people in a skatepark (and made decent money doing that too) yesterday. My ex was with us and is now sick too which is pretty annoying as tomorrow is her first day at her new job.

Committed to going to the office for a farewell lunch for my manager, as I am not one to say no to a free pub lunch.

Turns out some dork has organised it at a cafe with the shittest lunch selection possible and no alcohol.

Woke up this morning to a totally flat tyre on my car. Put the electric pump on it and it did nothing. Tyre caput and getting changed in Friday afternoon. So jumped in my wife’s car and headed to work. Got back was searching for my car keys… I’d left them in my car and the battery’s totally flat. What a pellet haha. Lucky for me work is only a 20 minute walk and we can use my wife’s car to go a wedding down south this weekend and then jump start mine using hers when we get back on Sunday.

Thats spooky. Basically the same thing happened to me the other day.

I had a slow puncture in one and the other tyre one was bald so had to get two new ones.

The same day I had them changed I went to pick my brother and father in law up from a train station at 11.30pm. My battery just died out of nowhere and we were all stranded. Had to wake my mother in law to fetch us all.

Managed to jump it the next morning and get it to Halfords for a new battery (my central locking had been dodgy for months…now I knew why).

£150 for the tyres, £200 for the battery.

Fucking cars!

Touch wood I won’t need a new battery and can just get it up and running again no problems… I haven’t just tempted fate have I?

Yeah you should be fine. Just drive it again for a bit and it should recharge.

I was having loads of electrical based problems in my car for a long time.

My drivers side door handle would stay locked (had to climb through my car to open it), wing mirrors had minds of their own, media console glitched to fuck…my headlights were probably shit but I never noticed.

I never clocked it was related to the battery until it was far too late

Work are threatening us all with electric work vans, I don’t have off road parking and could really do without the fucking hassle.

Aww. We lost our eldest back in March.

My wife and kids picked up two cats from the RSPCA this morning. Jack (2, has one eye) and Olive.

Car broke down last night. Battery replaced at £290.

Come out this morning and it won’t start again.

Edit: It does start. Was trying to read the manual last night but a) I didnt have my glasses and b) it was dark so I missed twisting the keyfob in the ignition in the manual

So the keyless entry is buggered. Not the end of the world but it’ll need fixing before the warranty is up next month.

Maybe just needs recoded with the change of battery. Or the fob re syncing to the car. Some times you might be able to find something on a owners forum or group

Yeah, been through all of what can be done at home thanks, they don’t seem to be re-programable. It is a Touareg so it’ll be a dealer job, highly likely anyhow, plus with being under warranty I’m more than happy to dump it at the dealer and wait till its fixed… Feeling a bit grumpy having paid £290 for a new battery which didn’t fix the underlying issue - but it was over 9 years old so thats a good battery life. Fob batteries are both good/new.

As long as it is sorted before the end of July I’m fine. I have been thinking of changing but thats car thread territory. I know I’m pretty much limited to another Touareg or a Cayenne/Q7 due to towing.

Hope your cat’s ok. Mine had two days of hissing at us when we went near him and charging off into the distance, dribbling all over himself and hiding in weird places in the rain and then appeared yesterday morning 100% better and as if nothing had ever happened.

Absolute dickhead.
