Loving the press release: “we predict the skatepark will be visited around 3,500 times a year”. They missed off “…by people coming to point and laugh”.
£34k for that? Is the rail made of solid platinum?

Nothing says pride in your country than crudely daubed crappy garage
At least NF graffiti was honest
i haven’t been skating for 3 weeks, pulled up to the park today and it was absolutely swarming with you children using it as an extension of the play park. I got in my car and left without putting my board down. Maybe next week.
Haha, it sounds like naan is telling us off for not acting our ages down the local.
I see that all the time these days, it feels like it’s never been that bad. I sometimes even get dirty looks from very responsible mothers who freak out when I use the skatepark as a skatepark while their kids are using it as a play park. Contraception is underrated.
Pretty much every skatepark I have been to recently has had ‘Skate park not play park’ stencils sprayed on them. Don’t think it makes any difference.
Skaters see a street spot not meant for skating, skate it… kids see a ramp that looks like a slide… slide down it. Simple really.
Can’t even roll around at my local anymore, this years kids are all into mountain biking and digging the edge of the park up to build jumps dragging shit and rocks everywhere. Horrible little bastards to boot.
I’d shower the whole area in large tacks if there weren’t so many dogs that wander over when being walked.
Oh thats a different matter, yeah fuck them.
Looks like they’ve tried wrapping each garage door with a Christmas ribbon.
Glasses, not cheap to get old, to get a pair of Ray Ban varifocals was going to be over 200 quids
Ended up on Glasses direct and trawling for vouchers, got a no brand pair and a second pair for the computer for £130 - still need prescription sunglasses as well.
Going to need a pair to listen to the radio at this rate
The pooch isn’t doing too well. He’s a mini dachshund and showing early signs of IVDD which is essentially a back disease. Had him at the vets last night and poor chap was whimpering throughout the night. Hoping it’s not that but looking likely. I’ve taken annual leave today to stay at home with him and it’s heartbreaking seeing him not be himself. Hopefully the meds kick in soon and we can get a clear diagnosis when we go back on Friday.
all the best for the wee guy, dogs might be the best thing in the world and too easily become part of the family
Bought our house 10 years ago. Got a property tax deduction on the condition we lived in it for 5 continuous years. Wife got offered a new job abroad three years later. Taxman just charged us 10k for not respecting their deal. Bugger.
Crossing my fingers for you guys.
24 hour sickness bug has worked it’s way round my household and finally got to me. Mrs had it a week ago, kid in the week. I had hoped I had escaped it, but alas!
Bought some cheap wheels to try 99a’s (Orbs), one of the wheels has an off kilter bearing seat. Seems to be straight enough if I put the good seating closest to the truck.
If I like them I’ll maybe get some spits or bones at the end of the month. The 80HD chargers I had were feeling like riding a bike on a flat tyre
£400 worth of trainers have been confirmed by FedEx as delivered (signed for) and there is no sign of them.
While dealing with that, fell for a car selling scam where the buyer insists on a £30 Motorfax report as was distracted with Fedex and keen to sell.
Fucks sake.
£7 for a black coffee and a pastry at Pret this morning.
This is why I don’t go into the office anymore, it’s financially ruining
