I’m waiting on a ticket for accidentally driving the wrong way down (a newly changed) One Way road in Digbeth on Satuday ![]()
Have you got the ticket yet? Decent chance of getting away with that if not.
Got a letter this morning. Speed awareness course and a fine.
Oh bums.
RIP Grey Skate Mag. Posted on their Insta earlier they are calling it a day after 16 years.
Yeah just spoke to Henry about it (kinda). 16 years is a shift. Big respect. Print is hard these days.
Loved Grey when I had easy access to it. Really liked the size of it
Such a shame. Big up Henry and crew for keeping it going so long
Lower Rods DIY as seen in @WallyBazoum footage on Bun This has been demolished. Gutted
Daughters birthday, booked her in to get her ears pierced (all she wanted) and the place doing it, a tattoo shop with a specialist piercer on staff, cancelled and rebooked three times.
Bright side, wifes pal gave us the name of someone who is well recommended and going to do it today for her so back to happy child hopefully.
Brown side - dog had crapped everywhere this morning and my quiet morning started with me and a full roll of kitchen roll and the carpet cleaner……which I cannot recommend enough
if that falls through, take her to a local jeweller instead. They should be able to do it, assuming she’s at least 7 or 8.
Good god. Is that “gob in the air and it freezes on the way down” cold?
Not tried it. But you got to wear gloves between house and getting in your car otherwise your fingers freeze. And god help you if you don’t have heated steering wheel.
Is there much homelessness over there? Genuine question. Terrifying thought
Yes of course. God knows how they do it. A lot of them break into old houses and just make fires in the houses, middle of the living room style, and end up buring them down.
Actually just looked it up, there are homeless shelters and they are mandated not to turn people down, as quite obviously you can die
got them done last night from recommended piercer. little bugger picked the most expensive earings they had so it cost me a pair of new skate shoes, but proper worth it to see the smile on her face and the text messages to her friends and family showing off her sparkly ears
Down side was the dog crapping again through the night, poor wee lamb
When I did humanitarian work helping the homeless in Saint-Petersburg a lot of them would spend the night in the sewers. The life expectancy of a homeless person there is 1.5 year once they’re in the streets. That was 19 years ago, a lot of them were young, I remember so many of them and they’re most likely all dead now. So grim.
hold up here frank - we need more info on this please
What exactly would you like to know about?
I spent 5 months there back in 2007 and things might have changed a lot there since, hopefully for the best as the government didn’t do much for the homeless at the time.
Here’s the organisation I volunteered for: Nochlezhka - Russia's oldest charity providing assistance to homeless people
I worked in that mini warehouse where I sorted and handed clothes, personal hygiene items and metro tokens to the homeless during the day and I served soup and gave bread to the homeless with the night bus during the evening, where doctors would volunteer with us, in the northern districts aka the ghetto of the ghetto.
I saw some really grim stuff there, it changed my life. I hate food waste so much.
