Is that meant to be a lightbulb over her head? It’s a candle…

She’s had enough of Mikey’s shit.

So many dodgy things about that second picture. Who has an ‘important’ meeting but leaves the door wide open? Papers are casually thrown across the desk so they are upside for everyone but the right way up and perfectly placed for the camera. Why is Mikey’s finger so long? And of course, why does everyone look livid with him?

Mikey looks like he’s on that episode of every season of the apprentice where they have to pitch their terrible idea/product to unimpressed seasoned business experts

The fact that he has managed to parlay his grift to become mayor of Thousand Oaks is profoundly depressing. Pushing through policies to further engorge the rentier class (including himself).

FTFW. Did you see that Trump’s Counter Terrorism Chief Joe Kent just resigned stating Trump’s Israeli-led decision to bomb Iran for no apparent reason? We’re dealing with idiots here

I feel like I’ve spammed this thread recently

Had my dads funeral today, a fairly agnostic affair and a whole bunch of folk I didn’t know. My family is fairly distant to me these days, my mother was a dick for years and alienated a good few people from me and mine. So that was fun being in a room with a bunch of them.

The asked the doc to sign me off for a week, picked the line up yesterday and he has signed me off for two weeks. Wife said I should just take advantage of it and rest up, been a stressful two weeks and I need the time to get back to normality a bit. Just feel a bit guilty for taking it

Take it mate, don’t feel guilty. You’re going to be up and down, good at times, bad at times. So just chill and take the time off.

When my mum died my job at the time gave me 6 weeks off - I didn’t ask for it, they just said don’t come in for a while (it was a terrible job in a lot of ways but I’ve got to give them props for that). My sister on the other hand was a teacher and had to go back after 4 days, don’t know how she did it.

I went back after a similar number of days to your sister @BvS. Massive mistake…ultimately they used it against me at end of year performance review as well. Michael Fabricants.

Take your time to process @darthpunk

A weeks compassionate leave seems about standard in most places for immediate family bereavement but it seems nuts to me. Expecting people to actually be concentrating on work shit when they’ve lost a parent, sibling or child is insane. At best it’ll likely be performative presenteeism. It’s not like it’s the sort of thing that happens every month, thank god so no idea why they can’t be a bit more generous. I know a couple of people who did a week off, came back and then ended up going off again for months cos it was way too soon. I hope you take the full two weeks and it helps.

I had a day off here and there when I lost my first one, not even proper day off. GP told me to man up.

For real? Sounds like worst gp ever, they should be struck off

Yep, exact words were “you just need to man up”

I was so away with the fairies it just registered as another, oh well, it’s not ment to be comment.

Made a complaint and just got stonewalled.
