Same shit with my flat sale last year. She offered full price then her dad got involved and suddenly wanted 25k off a couple weeks before exchange. At this point I was already down about 6 months worth of rent and putting it on market again only to lose 6 months more just wasn’t worth my time. It’s just a cost of business at this point. Expect it to come, be prepared and it’s not so bad.

I was a bit upset about it last night and this morning, then, weirdly putting some washing in the machine, it suddenly hit me, I’m an adult, I don’t need to listen to this shit

Went out at 10.30 this morning, got back at 5.30. First thing I hear walking through the door is the fridge open chime - walk into the kitchen to see a bottle of ketchup on its side blocking the door from closing. Everything is warm.

Went out for dinner on holiday with assembled in laws and after eating the Mother in law had a funny turn that resulted in a panicked phonecall, a blue light ambulance trip and 4 hours in a French hospital.
I ended up whisking the kids away as they didnt need to around it but the Mrs was in the back of the ambulance with her and was pretty shaken up.
Thinking its a seizure set off by the heat and dehydration but was talk of a stroke which thankfully doesnt seem to be the case. The whole thing is pretty gnarly
